Gründen zur Brikettierung unter Zusatz von 'Bindemitteln, wie Teer, Pech ö. dgl.;

Process for the utilization of the in the extraction of hard coal
accruing fine coal In the patent 671 26o is a. Procedure for utilizing the
incurred in the extraction of hard coal. Fine coal described in which
this fine coal, which is relatively ash-rich and is therefore economical
Reasons for briquetting with the addition of 'binders, such as tar, pitch or the like;
respectively. little for the production of coke or for use in pulverized coal furnaces
: suitable, immediately. before incineration in one of the usual traveling grate furnaces
upstream briquette press only with appropriate moistening with water
briquetted without using any other binder and the compacts produced
in the -still wet state; in which they are, then in the
Grate firing are burned. Contrary to expectations, the pellets disintegrate when burned
not, but keep their lumpy shape until they are completely burned.
entweichen lassen, was bekanntlich einen -#växme-vvirtschäftlichen Verlust bedeutet,
The subject of the invention is a further development of this method.
It has been shown that the combustion of the moistened and compacts
Coal pressed from spherical form often, not with the required intensity
takes place, so that the efficiency of the furnace deteriorates not insignificantly when they are burned.
It has now been recognized that this aftereffect, mainly through the chosen
Briquette form caused -, vurde. You had the spherical shape for these compacts
thought to be expedient because the press then fires it by itself
roll down. The spherical shape, however, has the least of old bodies with the same mass
Surface - and consequently offers the verb: rennüngsgäsen the 'smallest attack surface.
If you could also choose the briquette size so that the compacts during
burned completely during the migration through the combustion chamber, resulted from this
'But too few calories generated per square meter of grate surface.
and hour: On the other hand, it was not possible to use the usual briquette form, for example
choose the well-known barge shape, or the shape of an oblong, with the same piece weight
have a larger surface because these briquettes are on their way to the furnace
easy to break and a proportionate
have great abrasion,
According to the invention, therefore, another known per se is used for the present purpose
but a particularly well-adapted briquette shape was chosen, namely the basic shape of the ellipsoid.
Of course, other similar forms can also be used, for example the known
Egg shape can be applied. It is only essential here that the compacts produced
Can roll easily and have no protruding edges that make rolling difficult
or easily. cancel. Purpose is it, the major axis of the Ellip @ so @ ds
about equal to the il /..- to 2 times the diameter to choose, since this form
has proven best. Such an Ellip @ soid already has about 15 to 2o%
larger surface area than a ball of the same weight. In addition, however
the surface can be enlarged by iobis 20% if one uses the ellipsoid
. Also known longitudinal grooves or grooves. The special shape
these grooves is arbitrary, only it must be chosen so that the pressed items
can easily be removed from the mold. To achieve this, it is still useful
to heat the mold a little. However, the maximum temperature should be around 150 ° C
are not exceeded here, since then most types of coal are already hydrocarbons
let out what is known to mean a - # växme-vvirtschäftlichen loss,
Quite apart from the fact that the operating personnel are annoyed by the escaping gases
and is harmed to health. However, the specified temperature limit is met
completely their purpose, because of the water vapor jacket that forms during pressing
the detachment of the compacts from the mold is favored.
The size of the new briquettes is also chosen so that their burning time
corresponds to the time required for the traveling grate to wander through the combustion chamber
needed. If necessary, the speed of movement of the grate can change the burning time
the compacts are adapted.
The object of the invention is on the drawing in some embodiments
illustrates; namely shows: Dep. i and z the basic shape of the new compact
in side view and cross-section, Ab-h- 3 to 6 different cross-sections of the compact
to show the grooves on the surface.
As can be seen, in the exemplary embodiment the largest axis of the ellipsoid has been selected to be approximately equal to / 2 times the diameter. When the pressing pressure is increased, the length of the same can be increased up to twice the diameter. The shape and depth of the grooves made on the surface are adapted in accordance with the available pressure to the extent that flat and rounded grooves, for example according to Fig. 3, - for smaller, deeper and sharp-edged grooves, for example according to Fig. 4 to 6, with a larger Pi @ eßdruck selects. In this way, the cost-effectiveness of the new process with regard to the intensity of the combustion per square meter of grate surface can be increased considerably.
