Derselbe besteht aus einem aufrecht stehenden cylindrischen Gefäfs A, das luftdicht geschlossen ist und im Innern eine Anzahl ringförmiger Teller B besitzt, die in kurzen Abständen über einander angeordnet sind. Die Teller sind, abwechselnd an ihrem äufseren und an ihrem inneren Umfang mit im Kreise angeordneten Löchern b versehen und durch hohle Verbindungsstutzen a mit einander verbunden. Diese Verbindungsstutzen sind immer auf dem unteren Teller mit einem Flantsch befestigt, sind dicht über dem Flantsch mit seitlichen Oeffnungen a¹ versehen und ragen in den oberen Teller bis nahe unter den oberen Rand desselben hinauf. Auf diesem fliefsen sie von der Mitte nach dem äufseren Umfang hin und tröpfeln dort durch die Löcher b auf den nächstfolgenden Teller u. s. f.
