Description
Process for the production of hydrocarbons which can be liquefied under pressure In the production of easily liquefiable at ordinary temperature under pressure Gas constituents through adsorbents, verden from technical gases, such as natural gas, Kolzsofen-as, crack gas, hydrogenation gas etc., mixtures of lighter and heavier boiling points Bodies won. For example, activated charcoal adsorha, ta, us contain coke gas in addition to higher Hydrocarbons such as propane, propylene, butane, butylene, also essential Amounts of ethylene, ethane, carbonic acid, methane, etc. If the gases are driven off and under Pressure liquefied, so prepare the difficult-to-liquefy constituents in this respect Silences as they greatly increase the pressure of the overall mixture and thereby the use of heavy storage tanks or heavy steel cylinders is necessary, making and also have an unfavorable effect on the calorific value. It is therefore necessary in many cases these difficult to liquefy gas components from the easier to liquefy to separate in order to increase the technical value of the product. It is known, to carry out such separations in high rectification columns or similar apparatus.
It was recognized that the separation with much simpler means and to obtain pure products smoothly succeeds if one liquefies them under pressure Gases partially relaxed and the relaxed gases through activated carbon or other adsorption masses can pass, with which the starting gas in order to remove the in the introduction mentioned substances was treated until the applied pressure reached a significant level Amount of propylene occurred in the gas passed through.
During the expansion of the obtained from the starting gases and on it adsorbate liquefied under pressure, which still contains substantial amounts of ethylene, ethane, Contains carbonic acid, metban etc., the volatile components escape in larger quantities than the less volatile. But it will also be a big part of the low-volatility valuable components with relaxed. It must now be extraordinary surprise that it succeeds in the adsorbent previously in the first adsorption stage treated with coke oven gas, etc. until propylene breakthrough, again for removal of propylene and propane from the said gas, -gernisch to use.
The passage of the expanded gases can, as in the first adsorption stage, take place both at normal pressure and at higher pressures, n. You can then after The breakthrough also with the relaxed gases becomes clear. the Drive off charcoal and thus has the advantage of recovering the during separation of the highly volatile gas constituents due to expansion, difficult to volatilize Components without additional expenditure in terms of steam, equipment or other costs.
In the production of high-quality motor fuels from coke oven gases, the following conditions arise when carrying out the procedure according to 1, - rfinclting, for example: If coke gas is passed through charcoal at a pressure of 3 at, for example, and it is driven off with steam, then one can obtain a gas which, when compressed and partially liquefied, results in a pressure of over 100 atm. Relaxed nian this gas escapes a mixture containing 10 to 20 "], propylene, propane and higher homologs in addition to methane, hydrogen, Kolileiisäure. ## tliaii and ethylene still. When your passing said expanded gas with another batch of Charcoal, which is loaded from the starting gas, n up to the propylene breakthrough and contains the poorly volatile constituents adsorbed in the first adsorption stage, succeeds in retaining the propylene and the higher hydrocarbons practically quantitatively, while most of the Accompanying gases including the impurities leave the activated carbon unadsorbed. '' The expansion is interrupted as soon as substantial amounts of propylene can be detected in the end gas after the A carbon. If the activated carbon is now driven off, a predominantly propylene and higher hydrocarbon content is obtained that this gas and the hot of the continuous processing of Ausgangsgasc> obtained in the same Ueise gas. D- ABy. enen products are continuously subjected to the inventive process, it succeeds in any amount of Atisgangsgas on mixtures of Z, L '' -, liquefiable under pressure hydrocarbons of holiern degree of purity, which z. B. can be used excellently as a propellant. to process. The adsorption agent is not heavily loaded with impurities.
The high purity of the products erfindungsgenläß received results from the following: The ahlgetriebene from the adsorbent of the first Adsorptionsstufu adsorbate con- sists in part to the the sought-boiling fractions such as propylene, propane and their häheren homologues, and lower part of methane, ethane and Äthvlen as well as other components of the starting gas which are gaseous under normal conditions. In addition, it also contains compounds such as diolefins and other resin-forming impurities in the starting gas, the content of which must be reduced as far as possible before the technical use of the product aimed for in accordance with the process, e.g. want to exclude from use. The combination of the measures forming the subject of the inventive method offers the advantage that, as a result of the increased pressure being used in the first partial measure, a large proportion of the volatile compounds, primarily ethane and ethane, are compressed. In the following stage of partial pressure relief, with the removal of the more volatile components, practically complete removal of the impurities from the liquid parts is achieved. Since the more valuable compounds obtained in the excess amounts are repeatedly introduced into the process, the entire amounts of the end product are accordingly obtained in a state of high purity.
