Receiver for frequency- or phase-modulated oscillations
Frequency modulation my transmitter is often difficult to avoid at the same time
.amplitude modulation occurs. This amplitude modulation results in the receiver
to distortions, which is also the case when the amphitha modulation is first
arises in the receiver. An amphitheater could be made in the receiver,
z. B. by means of a preloaded rectifier, but then there is the disadvantage
that the reception amplitude must not fall below a certain value. Further
occur with: an amplitude limitation harmonics that lead to whistling disturbances.
In a known circuit, therefore, an amplitude modulation is used to compensate
in front of frequency-modulated or phase-modulated oscillations, the amplitude modulation frequencies
by rectifying the vibrations received and the base of the
Oscillation circuit of a high or intermediate frequency tube my counter regulation
supplied to the effecting senses.
According to the invention, such a receiver in the case
of high-frequency amplitudes @ modulation frequencies these through .ein from longitudinal inductances
and shunt capacitors while avoiding ohmic resistances existing filter
screened by the carrier frequency and the grating of the high or intermediate frequency tube
itself, if necessary after a step-up transformation, supplied directly. Herewith
difficulties are eliminated, which in the following description of a
Embodiment of the invention .explained in more detail.
In the figure, an embodiment of the invention is shown. The frequency-modulated and at the same time amplitude-modulated intermediate frequency ZF is fed to the intermediate frequency tube Z via a broadbatid filter B1 and then to the broadband filter B.>. From there comes the intermediate. frequency, on the one hand, to stage St, in which the conversion into amplitude-modulated oscillations takes place for the purpose of subsequent demodulation, and, on the other hand, to tube D, whose anode-cathode path is used for diode rectification. The DC voltage occurring at the load resistance IV of this diode path is passed through the filter element R, C and serves as a fading control voltage Sch for non-illustrated civil frequency or high frequency tubes.
B. 3o bis 6o kHz), was
The first three electrodes of the tube D, namely the cathode, control grid and screen grid, are used in this example to amplify the amplitude modulation frequency AF occurring at the load resistor W. These frequencies are passed through the capacitor C, to the intermediate frequency filter C. ,, Drl, C; 3, Dr. and from there to the control grid of the tube Z. It is important that the filter mentioned does not contain any ohmic resistances, otherwise the time constant is too large and there is therefore the risk that not only the intermediate frequency but also the amplitude modulation frequencies are retained in the filter . This risk is particularly great if the amphitheater modulation frequencies consist not only of low frequencies, but also or solely of carrier frequencies (e.g. 3o to 6o kHz), which is particularly important for short waves and even shorter waves. The amplitude modulation with carrier frequencies then arises from the fact that a frequency modulation with these carrier frequencies is carried out at the transmitter and thus an undesired amplitude modulation occurs. The higher the amplitude modulation frequencies, the smaller the time constant must be. For this reason the control voltage, which changes in the cycle of these frequencies, is fed directly to the control grid of the tube Z via a throttle chain and not via a grid bleeder resistor or applied to the point P of the band filter Bi. In the latter case one would have to make the block capacitor C so small that an undesirable tendency of the device to oscillate can occur because the line coming from the grid bias source G then carries an intermediate frequency which can then reach the other stages via the anode voltage source. Since the time constant must be very small, it will generally hardly be possible to regulate several tubes, since a tendency to oscillate can then also occur due to insufficient decoupling.
It should also be mentioned that the control voltage AF is set before it is fed to the grid
can also first transform into hole-holes by means of a transformer.
