Description
Resonant Line Tuner The invention relates to certain Resonance circles, especially those known as resonance lines are. A resonance line is a tuned oscillation circuit, consisting of a pair of parallel conductors in which inductance and capacitance are essentially are evenly distributed. Such a line exists z. B. from an inner conductor and a concentric outer conductor or a pair of straight, Rod-shaped ladders, which are coupled to one another at one or more points are. Such resonance lines are often used as frequency-determining organs in Tube oscillators used. They are also called input or output circuits of Amplifiers or applied as filter circuits. It is already known the inductance to change a solenoid by a rotating short-circuit ring in the coil field. To tune resonance lines or to change their resonance frequency was however, it has so far been customary to change the physical length of the line. Through the In the present invention, the tuning process of resonance lines becomes essential simplified.
Kraftlinien steht.
The line i! 2 is shown in Fig. I as an example of a frequency control system drawn in the input circuit of a tube oscillator 7, the output of which with any appropriate output circuit 5 is connected. The tube 7 contains a grid g, which connected to the inner conductor 2 of the resonance line via a grid bleeder resistor io and an anode 12 connected to the output circuit 13. A closer one Description of the vibration generator arrangement is unnecessary, since the same not for actual subject matter of the invention belongs. Many others can, of course Circuits for generating vibrations in connection with the resonance line according to FIG of the invention can be applied.
Fig.2 shows the old turn of a short-circuited ring 4 according to the filling in a U-shaped coaxial resonance line, which consists of the inner conductors i ', i "and the outer conductors 2', 2". The effect of the short-circuit ring is the same as already discussed in connection with Fig. t. The U-shaped resonance line is here in connection with a push-pull oscillator shown, which contains the tubes 14 and 15, their grids 16 'and 17 with two at a suitable distance between points of the inner conductor are connected. When a If a larger tuning range is desired, additional rotatable ones can be used Rings 4 ', 4' are arranged in such places where the greatest current density prevails. These additional voting rings can also be used to to compensate for the individual input impedances of the vacuum tubes 14 and 15.
In Fig. 3, a short-circuited ring 4 is shown, which with a Resonance line is coupled, which consists of two straight rods 18 and i g. the both rods are connected to one another at the base by a plate 2o. Here, too, the resonance line is used, a push-pull oscillator, which consists of the two tubes 2 i and 22 to stabilize.
Die Länge der Resonanz- Leitung war etwa i i9 cm und der Durchmesser jedes Stabes 5 cm; der Abstand der beiden Stäbe von Achse zu Achse betrug i o cm.In an embodiment of the invention according to Figure 3 with a push-pull oscillator; in which UX-245 tubes were used, there could be a tuning range between 57 MHz at the minimum position of the short-circuit ring and 57.5 MHz at the maximum position be achieved. The length of the resonance Lead was about 19 cm and the diameter of each rod 5 cm; the distance between the two rods from the axis to Axis was 10 cm.
The short-circuit ring according to 'the invention was previously of circular Shape shown, but the ring can also be designed rectangular or another have a suitable shape. Fig. ¢ shows a rectangular ring through which the The advantage is achieved that a closer coupling with the resonance line is achieved. Thus, the word ring in connection with the present invention is not intended to be just circular Rings, but some short-circuited current path of low ohmic resistance denote without it being restricted to a specific external shape.
It was previously believed that the ring according to the invention a has a certain distance from the individual ladder in each of his positions, so that except possibly at the implementation point of the rod 6 no electrical Contact occurs between the ring and the resonance line. The vote of the management can but can also be achieved when the ring is in contact with in one of its positions the line makes. However, this case would involve any metallic connection between correspond to the individual conductors, and the resonance line would not be at its maximum Effectiveness work, as the full use of the line on the low resistance the circles is based.
