Die durch die Zeichnung Fig. 1 und 2 veranschaulichte
Erfindung betrifft einen Zirkel, mit dem es möglich ist, im Freien Entfernungen
abzuschätzen. Der Zirkel ist so eingerichtet, dafs man auch die Zeit, in welcher die bestimmte
Entfernung bei gewisser Geschwindigkeit zurückgelegt werden kann, abzulesen vermag.The illustrated by the drawing FIGS. 1 and 2

Seine Einrichtung ist folgende:Its establishment is as follows:
An einem seiner Schenkel befindet sich eine mittelst Schraube oder auf andere Weise befestigte
Platte A. Diese Platte zeigt auf einer Seite eine besondere Eintheilung, nach welcher
die Entfernung von Gegenständen im Freien geschätzt werden kann. Es wird hierbei
der betreffende Gegenstand, dessen Gröfse als bekannt vorausgesetzt wird, mit dem Auge
zwischen die Zirkelspitzen genommen und sodann auf der Platte die Entfernung abgelesen.
Hierbei benutzt man den Zirkel, der an einer Schnur B (50 cm lang) befestigt und am zweiten

so ist die Entfernung 200 m. Der Schnittpunkt auf der Linie 10 m Objectbreite würde
