Abstract

A self-lubricating polymeric composition suitable for forming a low friction shaped article, which comprises 70 to 99.5 wt% of a thermoplastic polymer and 30 to 0.5 wt% of a melt blend of a lubricating system comprising ultra high molecular weight polyethylenes, pentaerythritol stearate and a calcium carbonate.
