Durch diese Dehnbarkeit der Stoffe des Bundbandes kann dieses beim Tragen /des damit versehenen Kleidungsstückes eine konische Form ungehindert annehmen, ohne daß es zu störenden Faltenbildungen in dem Bundband kommt. Um diese Dehnbarkeit der Stoffe des Bundbandes zu erhalten, mußte man die gewebten Stoffe nach ihrer Webherstellung in diagonale Streifen, quer zum Schuß- und Kettfadenverlauf, zerschneiden und dann diese Diagonalbänder in dieser Schrägschnittform alsx Oberstoff und Unterstoff zum Aufbau derartiger Bundbänder verwenden.
