Die Eck- oder Beistelltruhe dient u.a. der besseren Ausnutzung des sonst bei Polster-Eckgruppen, Anbaugruppen, Eckbänken usw. durch eine Ecktruhe oder einen Beistelltisch ausgefüllten Raumes. Die bisherigen Ecktruhen haben in der Deckplatte als Öffnung einen aufklappbaren Deckel oder einen waagrechten Rolladenverschluß. Deshalb muß die üblicherweise als Ablage benützte Deckplatte vor der Öffnung abgeräumt werden.
