Description
Process for the electrodeposition of gold In the electrolytic Until now, the only cathodes that could be used for separating gold, especially refining, were mother sheets made of rolled gold can be used. The velvety electrolyte gold deposited on it was in the further course of the known gold extraction process together with the Cathode material melted down. It was therefore a new one for each individual separation Cathode required, which therefore could only be used once and their cumbersome preparatory work, such as B. the rolling of the compact gold thin sheet metal, a substantial complication of the operation and an increase the cost.
In order to avoid these disadvantages, tests were carried out with the aim of replacing the gold previously used for the cathodes with other materials. It was stated that metals or alloys such as silver, nickel, V2a steel, Iron, copper, lead, are not suitable for the aforementioned use. It was found that in the case of the electrolytic deposition of gold, surprisingly a perfectly flawless gold deposition is achieved if instead of gold cathodes those made of niobium or ' made of alloys of this metal.
So konnte z. So could z. B. when using Niobble.ch, as cathode material the deposited electrolyte gold can be withdrawn in a coherent manner. The aforementioned metal also offers in comparison with gold both in terms of Acquisition: costs, as well as special advantages in terms of quality.
