Description
Petroleum blue burner Petroleum blue burner with perforated walls formed combustion space need to initiate the combustion and to their Conversation a supply of air directly at the top of the wick; however may the air at this point is only supplied in a very fine, precisely balanced distribution otherwise the burn will already be immediately on the wick with yellow, underneath Even a sooty flame would take place under certain circumstances. Another disadvantage of this The type of burner is that the combustion zone in the combustion chamber in the case of small spots moves downwards and moves closer to the wick, so that the heating of the The upper part of the wick becomes stronger and, as a result, the amount of steam generated always get bigger, until finally the flame despite the screwed down wick assumes the same size as before with the wick screwed up. This appearance can go so far through the device identified in the main patent 669 90 i limit that it is possible to use the burner without special mechanical means can only be set smaller by adjusting the wick. That the flame will turn down after it has been turned down the wick, enlarged a little, lies in the essence of the phenomenon described; the decisive step forward is that they no longer have the original, reaches the size corresponding to the highest wicking position. Through the present invention has succeeded in restricting the dragging even further than with the means of Main patent. According to the invention is namely the air inlet openings of the wick sheath extension At least on one side of the wick a chamber closed on all sides with air inlet: openings upstream. It is advisable not to use heat as a building material for this chamber particularly good conductive metal, such as. B. iron to choose.
Chambers with air inlet openings on one side of the wick sheath these are upstream, are with blue burners of the usual type with burning on the wick Flame is already known per se, but first of all it has the wick sheath no expansion and, secondly, they are not small, precisely coordinated Holes, which only allow access to the air in very small quantities, as with the burners according to the present invention, but around large openings. or perforations representing the total amount required on one side of the wick Supply amount of combustion air. On the other hand, in the case of the burners of our invention By far the largest part of the combustion air is only fed into the combustion cylinders.
For the present invention it is irrelevant whether the board is on one or both sides of the wick sheath extension is arranged. at Flat wick burners should be arranged on both sides, while with round wick burners the chamber are preferably arranged on the inside.
The figure shows an exemplary embodiment of a round wick burner with the associated container according to the new invention. In it, i is the container, 2 is the inner wick tube passing through it. The outer wick tube 3 is screwed into the container; At its upper end it has the extension 4. already known from the main patent with the air inlet openings 5. The support frame 6 is drawn inwards to the upper extension of the outer wick tube and here forms the deflection surface 7 above the holes 5. The inner wick tube has humps 8 on which a ring 9 lies. This is made of a material that does not conduct heat particularly well, e.g. B. and preferably iron, made and consists of two flanges which are connected to one another by a constriction provided with holes io and of which the upper one runs out into an air deflecting surface ii. Since the inner wick tube is crimped inwards at its upper end and ends just below the deflecting surface ii, a slot 12 is created which has the same task as the holes 5 on the outer wick tube. However, the air does not have unimpeded access to this slot, but must first pass through the holes io at the constriction and a chamber formed by the ring g and the upper end of the wick tube 2. The outer wick tube 3 has at its upper end the known prongs 13 which limit the upward stroke of the wick. The outer wall 1q. of the combustion chamber rests on the supporting gesture116. With which the inner wall 1 and 5, the protective cylinder 16 is connected by means of cross-pinned in a known manner by rods 17th
According to the invention, it is the air inlet openings of the wick tube widening a chamber upstream into which the air can only enter in a throttled manner. If so In the case of small spots, the flame zone moves downwards in the combustion chamber, this is how it works the upstream chamber on the one hand heat-insulating, on the other hand it is also in that the passage resistance at the holes 5 is lower than at the Chambers 9, the flame zone mainly relocated to the outside, where the heat can be easily removed can dissipate, while transferring less heat from the outset to the inner wick tube will.
