An Stelle der mechanischen Tonspur kann dabei meist eine Lichttonspur treten. Diese endlosen Filmbänder werden gewöhnlich zu einem einzigen Filmwickel aufgewickelt. Der Filni läuft dann innen von dem Wickel ab und von außen wieder auf den, Wickel auf. Ein solcher endloser Filinwickel bringt aber nun insofern Schwierigkeiten mit sich, als er, -wenn man ihn. vollständig abwickelt, was z. B. bei der Entwicklung des Films notwendig ist, eine vielfach in: sich verdrehte Filmschleife ergibt. Um diesen Übelstand zu vermeiden, hat man deshalb. bisher den Film vor der Entwicklung »oder einer sonstigen anderweitigen Behandlung, bei der der ganze Wickel aufgelöst werden muß, zerschnitten und nach Fertigstellungdie Enden wieder miteinander verklebt.
