Description

The reverse circulation of Zweitaktbrennkraftmasehinen in which the slots are arranged essentially on one side of the cylinder and is located above the series of scavenging ports, a number of exhaust slots has bewiährt as long as the engine is kept within a particular 1 Drehzahlbereiclh.es. The more recent endeavors are now aimed at building two-stroke branding craft machines that run as fast as possible. With these, the flushing causes certain difficulties due to the short time available for this. Even if more recent studies show that on the one hand the dreaded exhaust gas turbulence with every scavenging can no longer develop at all due to the very short scavenging time in high-speed internal combustion engines, on the other hand it is difficult, due to the short scavenging time, to expel all the exhaust gases in an orderly manner To achieve purge air. To make this possible, the entire cylinder space must be covered as completely as possible by the scavenging air front, which drives the exhaust gases in front of it to the outlet slots.
In order to achieve this goal, based on extensive experimentation, there are two main requirements has been recognized as essential. Once the exhaust gases to be expelled must have a sufficiently large "exit cross-section. Are available, which in any case a stagnation of the exhaust gases in front of the outlet openings prevented, and also the individual flushing air jets must be on their way in Cylinder are steered so that it is covered in its entirety by the scavenging air will.
Eine Vergrößerung des Auslaßquerschnittes durch Verlängerung der Auslaßschlitze gegenAn enlargement of the outlet cross-section by lengthening the outlet slots against
In der Zeichnung sind mehrere Ausfüh-. rungsbeispiele einer Zweitaktbrennkraftmaschine mit einseitiger Umkehrspülung mit den Merkmalen gemäß der Erfindung sehematisch dargestellt, und zwar zeigenthe cylinder cover is inexpedient, since this causes part of the effective cylinder stroke and thus the power of the internal combustion engine to be lost. According to the invention are therefore in a two-stroke brand. engine with one-sided reverse flushing ^ in which a row of exhaust slits is arranged above the row of scavenging hoses, the exhaust slits in the middle and at the two ends of the row of slits or just aäi the two ends or only in the middle against the. inner dead center of the machine is extended and the t5 inlet slots located under the extended exhaust slots are shortened by the same amount. This not only increases the absolute size of the outlet cross-section, but also the ratio of the outlet cross-section to the flushing cross-section. For the rapid flushing of the cylinder, however, the influence of the enlarged outlet slots on the control of the individual flushing air flows is of particular importance the piston head flow away to the opposite cylinder wall and, erecting on this, flow towards the cylinder cover, with the slot formation according to the invention, the air flows adjacent to the enlarged outlet slots or parts of the same are set up before they reach the opposite cylinder wall, because the inner exhaust gas core is in front The enlarged outlet slots are naturally less tight and the outflow of the exhaust gases is stronger in it than in front of the other outlet slots. The scavenging air streams in question are thus, to a certain extent, drawn into this exhaust gas core zone. The straightening of the flushing flows takes place earlier, the closer they are to the enlarged outlet slots. The rinsing air flows from the rinsing slots further away, on the other hand, flow through to the cylinder wall and take over the rinsing of the wall zones of the working cylinder. In this way, not only the wall zones, but also the inner core zone are covered by the scavenging air, so that dead,. Unwashed rooms are largely avoided. The entire cylinder space is left in a very short time by the unimpeded outflow of exhaust gases and filled with scavenging air. The protective arrangement proposed according to the invention ensures that the outflow of the exhaust gases as a result of the enlargement of the outlet cross-section proceeds quickly and smoothly and part of the scavenging air covers the inner core zone in the working cylinder and cleans it of exhaust gases. i ^ IIES is known to form the outlet slots / on reverse circulation so and 'Toggle% assign that their lower ends each .Between two inlet slots extend into the row of inlet ports. However, this measure is only based on a reduction in the stroke loss of the internal combustion engine caused by the slots. There are also two-stroke combustion engines with reverse scavenging known. which the two rows of slots are shifted against each other on the cylinder circumference and the outlet slots on one side, under which there are no more inlet slots, are extended downwards, the corresponding inlet slots on the other side are extended upwards. In this embodiment, the arrangement and design of the slots is only intended to achieve a helical course of the scavenging air in the working cylinder, which leads to a swirling of the air when the fuel is injected. In the drawing are several execution. Approximation examples of a two-stroke internal combustion engine with one-sided reverse scavenging with the features according to the invention shown schematically, namely show
