-hutylestern kuppelt.Process for the preparation of azo dyes It has been found that
man on azo dyes, which are used to dye wool using the chroming process
are suitable, if you get the diazo compounds from i-aminobenzene-2-carbanoic acids,
containing a sulfonic acid group with 2-oxynaphthalene; n-6-carboxylic acid propyl or
-Hutylestern Couplings.
The 2-oxynaphthaLin-6-carbons used as azo components, acid esters
by esterification of the 2-oxy: n, aphthalene-6-carboxylic acid known from patent specification 436524
obtained with propyl or butyl alcohol.
Beispiel i 21,7 Teile i-Aminoben7ol-2-carbons.äure-4-sulfons.äure
Teilen Natriumhydr oxyd und 15 Teilen N.atriurncarbon:at in etwa 7oo Teilen Wasser
Na-
-triumnitrit und i o Teilen Salzsäure von I2° Be in etwa 3oo Teilen Wasserhergestellte
Diazosuspension zugesetzt.
The new dyes, when dyed on wool using the chroming process, deliver red shades that are characterized by good fastness properties. The new azo dyes have the advantage of better water solubility over the known azo dye made from dianotized i-aminobenzene-2-carboxylic acid and 2-oxynaphthalene-3-carboxylic acid isobutyl ester. The known dye is not suitable for dyeing textiles because of its extremely low usability in water. Compared to the known azo dyestuff made from dianotated i-aminobenzene-2-carb, 5-acidic acid: sulfonated acid and 2-oxyiphene, the new azo dyestuffs have better millfastness. EXAMPLE i 21.7 parts of i-aminoben7ol-2-carboxylic acid-4-sulfonic acid are mixed with zoo parts of water and, after addition of 10 parts of hydrochloric acid at 12 ° B6, dianotized with 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite. The diazo suspension is allowed to flow into a solution of 24 parts of 2-oxynaphthalene-6-carboxylic acid n-propyl ester, 6 parts of sodium hydroxide and 15 parts of sodium carbonate in about 700 parts of water at 0.degree. The formation of the dye is complete in a short time. After the usual work-up and drying, the azo dye obtained is a red powder which dissolves easily in water and dyes wool in red shades with good fastness properties by the chromating process. Example 2 A solution of 25 parts of 2 isobutyl oxynaphth.aUn-6-carboxylate, 6 parts of sodium hydroxide and 15 parts of sodium carbonate in about 8oo parts of water is mixed at = 0 ° C. with a solution of 21.7 parts of i-aminobenzene- ', 2-carboxylic acid 5-sulfonic acid, 6.9 parts. Sodium trium nitrite and 10 parts of hydrochloric acid of 12 ° Be in about 300 parts of water-made diazo suspension were added. After the coupling has ended, the azo dye obtained is separated off and dried. It dyes wool using the chroming process in red shades with good fastness properties.
