Description

Verfahren zur Herstellung von marmorierten oder gemaserten Preßkörpern aus Kunstharzmasse Zur Erzeugung von Marmor- und Maserungseffekten auf Preßgegenständien wurden bisher verschiedenartige Web eingeschlagen. Einer dieser Wege bestand darin, daß man die Mischung, welche die Maserung bilden sollte, linienartig auf den Boden der Form verteilte, sodann die Hauptmasse .aufbrachte und die Pressung vornahm. Dieses Verfahren war jedoch nur sehr umständlich und schwierig auszuführen und außerdem überliaupt nur bei großflachigen einfachen Formen anzuwenden. Ein weiteres Verfahren bestand darin, daß Mischungen aus mehreren verschiedenfarbigen Rohstoffen zu Tabletten bei gewöhnlicher Temperatur vorgepreßt und sodann bei erhöhter -Temperatur zu den entsprechenden Gegenständen verpreßt wurden, oder aber daß Kunstharzstückemit Pigmenten verklebt, z. B. durch Wälzen der mit einem Lösungsmittel behandelten Kunstharzstücke in Metallpulver, und die so aufbereiteten Kum,s,tharzstücke sodann verpreßt wurden. Diese Methoden sind ebenfalls sehr umständlich, da sie mehrere Arbeitsgänge erfordern. Die gebräuchlichste Methode war die, daß der auf trockenem Wege auf Walzen hergestellten Preßmasse vor dem Abstechen des Walzfelles eine oder mehrere andersfarbige Preßmassen oder Farbkompositionen zugegeben wurden. Der Nachteil aller dieser Verfahren besteht, abgesehen von der umständlichen Arbeitsweise, aber darin, daß nur sehr undeutliche Marmorierungen bzw. Maserungen erhalten werden, da das Farbpigment durch den Preß- bzw. Walzvorgang von der Grundmasse mehr oder minder stark verdeckt wird.
