Die Erfindung betrifft ein Leuchtschild, welches insbesondere für Kraftfahrzeuge vorteilhafte Verwendung finden kann. Das er-, findungsgemäße Leuchtschild besitzt Innenbeleuchtung und gehört daher in eine Gruppe von Leuchtschildern, welche in den verschiedensten Ausführungsformen bereits bekannt sind. So finden z. B. Schilder Verwendung, welche auf hellem, von innen beleuchtetem Grunde die Kennzeichen in Form von Zahlen, Buchstaben o.dgl. tragen. Solche Schilder bestehen meist aus Glas, das wegen seiner mangelnden Bruchfestigkeit Nachteile besitzt. Außerdem werden aber auch durch die verhältnismäßig großen leuchtenden Flächen des Untergrundes ■ die Zeichen selbst überstrahlt, so daß sie bereits in nur geringer Entfernung nicht mehr deutlich erkannt werden können. B. auch die einer Ellipse, haben mag. Der Ausschnitt d² für das Brems- oder Stoplicht liegt über dem durch die Wände a¹ abgetrennten Sonderfaeh. Sämtliche Ausschnitte sind durch entsprechend geformte Buchstaben oder Blenden ausgefüllt. Die Buchstaben sind mit / bezeichnet, die Blende für 'das Schlußlicht mit i¹ und diejenige für das Brems- oder Stoplicht mit i². Die Ausleuchtung des Schildes erfolgt vorteilhaft durch elektrische Glühlampen«. Das gepreßte Kennzeichen stützt sich mit einem Flansch o.dgl. von der Unterseite in dem Ausschnitt^ der Deckplatte δ ab. Um Kennzeichen i und Folie h in diesem Ausschnitt festzuhalten, sind Leisten/ vorgesehen, hinter welchen eine Glas- oder Celluloidplatte g gehalten ist, die Kennzeichen und Folie in die Aussparungen 'd hineinpreßt. Die Leisten / erstrecken sich vorteilhaft über die ganze Breite der Rückseite der Platte b, wie sie aus Fig. ι ersichtlich ist, so daß also die samtliehen Kennzeichen durch eine einzige Folie h hinterlegt und auch durch eine einzige Halteplatte g gehalten sein können. Die Erfindung sieht jedoch vor, durch Anordnung einer Mittelleiste/ eine festere Lagerung des ganzen Aggregats zu erhalten.
