Description
Electric discharge tube with variable penetration with three or more grids The invention relates to an electrical discharge tube with variable access with three or more grids, of which at least one has an alternating slope.
It is generally desirable for discharge tubes that they under the most favorable conditions with regard to the path of the electrons and accordingly can be operated on the electrical properties. Tests have shown that in this respect especially tubes with at least one with alternating Incline wound grids are often unsatisfactory. The tubes generally have a control grid with an alternating slope, while the another grid; z. B. screen grids, grids, etc., a constant slope exhibit. It has now been found that this is not the most favorable Conditions result; because the large openings of the control grid are opposite relatively small openings in one of the following grids. With a penthode For example, the safety gate is wound with a normal, constant slope, while the control grid has an alternating slope, so that at the points a large number of electrons pass through the control grid with a large opening, However, this through the relatively small openings in the safety gate or one other grids on their way cannot pass undisturbed. This often creates a large space charge, so that the electrical properties the tube can experience undesirable changes. So is z. B. the internal resistance Note that tubes for special purposes often have particularly high values got to. Internal resistance can be adversely affected by the phenomena mentioned above will.
The above-mentioned difficulties can be eliminated by the invention will. The invention is that in electrical discharge tubes with variable Access with at least three grids, at least one of which is changing Has slope which the cathode and the anode adjacent grid approximately the same have changing slope.
The invention is not only applicable to the grid types which the variable penetration by changing the slope of the grating is achieved, but also on grids, where as a result of the arrangement of their Holding parts the flow of electrons through the tube can be changed. In this In the case, the holding parts can be one of the following grids in a corresponding manner. be arranged, or these are given a certain diameter.
The invention is shown only schematically in the drawing on one side Embodiment explained in more detail, for example.
The cathode i shown in the drawing is in the present case an indirectly heated cathode. Around these are the grids 2, 3 and q. arranged, which are used as control grids or as screen grids or as safety grids can, and the whole is surrounded by an anode 5.
