Description

Jaw clamp for vibration-free, overhead line ropes To suppress the vibrations that occur on the overhead lines, ropes are used that contain a core rope that can move relative to the sheath rope. The hollow between the sheath and core rope causes difficulties when connecting the ropes. So far, specially designed connecting clamps have been used for tensioning and connecting the ropes, which have an intricate structure. With these clamps, the sheath and core rope are each clamped in by a clamp body. The assembly of these conical clamps must be carried out particularly carefully and is therefore quite time consuming. The usual rivet and screw connectors are not suitable for the above-mentioned overhead line ropes, as they are not able to compress the ropes to any degree.

The invention relates to an advantageous embodiment of a jaw clamp for the purpose of overhead line ropes consisting of a sheath rope and a movable one therein Core rope exist, to be clamped reliably. According to the invention have the jaws Clamp ribs of such height, i.e. when pinching the rope by squeezing of the sheath rope the core rope is pinched. Such a clamp is in comparison to the well-known conical clamps extremely simple in their structure and handling: In Fig. I of the drawing, the cross section of a rope is shown for the the clamp is intended according to the invention. i is the sheath rope - and 2 is the one in it movable core rope. While the sheath rope is copper or aluminum. consists, the core rope is usually made of steel. The Fig.2 around 3 show as an embodiment of the invention a suspension clamp. The clamp consists of the two jaws 3, 4., which are pressed against each other by screws 5. Each jaw has a groove 6 for Pick-up of the rope to be clamped. In the groove 6 ribs 8 protrude. the Ribs B of both jaws according to the invention have such a height that when screwed together the sheath rope is pressed in strongly. By pressing it together not only the sheath rope, but also the core rope firmly clamped, so that a There is a permanent and firm connection between the rope and the clamp: The ribs both jaws can, as shown in the drawing, face each other, but they can also be offset from one another. The one used to take up the rope Groove 6 does not need to be straight. To increase the clamping effect can the groove can also be formed like a loop.

The clamp according to the invention can also be used as a clamp for connection use of ropes. In this case, the ropes are axially one behind the other in the Clamp body inserted.
