Process for dyeing wool or blended fabrics made from wool and acetate rayon
with acidic wool dyes It has been found that water-soluble compounds that
by treating condensation products of phenols and aldehydes or ketones
with sulfites, optionally in the presence of formaldehyde, obtained valuable
Additives when dyeing wool or blended fabrics made from wool and acetate artificial silk
represent saunas wool dyes. These connections can therefore be reserved
of animal fibers in mixed fabrics made of whale and acetate artificial silk, for dyeing through
dense fabrics used on wool and to achieve even dyes on wool
will.
In diesen
Fällten entstehen sehr wahrscheinlich Verbindungen, welche die Gruppe - C H2 . S
o3 H enthalten. Derartige Ausgangsstoffe sind beispielsweise I, I-Bis-(4-'oxyphenyl)-methan,
I, I-Bis-(4-'oxyphenyl)-äthan, I, I-Bis-(4-oxyphenyl)-dimcthylnethan.Such auxiliaries are obtained, for example, when resin-like,
Condensation products of phenol and soluble in dilute alkali hydroxide solutions
its derivatives, such as cresols, halophenols, halo-cresols, on the one hand and
Aldehydes, such as formaldehyde, on the other hand, are treated with sulfites. The condensation products
can be prepared in the presence of acidic or basic condensing agents.
Suitable starting materials are, for. B. the liquid, semi-solid or solid, in the presence
primary phenol-formaldehyde condensation products produced by basic condensation agents.
But you can also start from crystallized condensation products that you
for example from phenol or 4-methyl-I-oxybenzene on the one hand and formaldehyde,
Acetaldehyde, acetone, on the other hand, is obtained in the presence of acidic condensing agents
and which become water-soluble by treatment with formaldehyde and sulfites. In these
Precipitated compounds are very likely to form which form the group - C H2. S.
o3 H included. Such starting materials are, for example, I, I-bis (4-'oxyphenyl) methane,
I, I-bis (4-oxyphenyl) ethane, I, I-bis (4-oxyphenyl) dimethyl methane.
Netzmitteln, Verwendung finden. The condensation products can be used for conversion into the water-soluble compounds
heat with aqueous solutions of sulfites, if necessary in the presence of formaldehyde.
It can be useful to work under pressure or water-soluble, organic ones
Add solvent. The mentioned water-soluble compounds can alone
or together with other suitable substances, e.g. B. water-soluble salts -or
Wetting agents, find use.

EXAMPLE I A piece of heavy men's fabric is dyed by placing the goods in the dye bath prepared as follows at 50 ° C. (0.5% benzyl bardeaux B (S chü 1 tz, Dyestuff Tables, 7th Edition, No. 12o), 4% sulfuric acid from 66 ° Bé, Io% crystallized; sodium sulphate, 2% of the auxiliary substance described below.

Alizarinsaphirblau G (Schultz, a. a. O., Nr.
In this bath, the ware is dyed at the boil for 1 hour, then rinsed, spun and dried. An extremely uniform coloration is obtained. Even with very heavy fabrics, the dye penetrated the inside of the fabric completely evenly. The auxiliary to be used can be obtained as follows: Mix 150 parts by weight of phenol with 38 parts by weight of a neutral, 36.6 percent by weight formaldehyde solution, add 19 parts by volume of 25 percent by weight ammonia solution and heat on a boiling water bath for about 6 hours. There is then a clear separation of layers. The lower layer containing the condensation product is drawn off and further evaporated at about 50 to 60 ° C. under reduced pressure. 343 parts by weight of the obtained viscous, in alcohol. and dilute sodium hydroxide solution of soluble condensation product are refluxed with an aqueous solution of 42 parts by weight of anhydrous, neutral sodium sulfite on the boiling water bath heated until a sample of the resulting
, t, solution no longer becomes cloudy with acid.
, 'Stir for a good

is easily solved.
EXAMPLE 2 100 parts of a mixed fabric of wool and acetate silk are dyed for 1 hour at 40 to 80 ° C. in 3,000 parts of its dyebath, the 0.6 parts of a dye preparation consisting of 40% 1,4-di (dimethylamino) anthraquinone .20% of the excipient described in Example I, 40% dry sulphite cellulose liquor, and to which 2 parts of alizarin sapphire blue G (Schultz, loc. Cit., No. I87) and 4 g of a sulphonated oil per liter of liquor were added. Towards the end of the dyeing process, it is expedient to add 2 parts of formic acid to the bath. It is then rinsed with water, spun and dried. The mixed fabric is dyed evenly blue. The wool dye is rub-resistant, which is not the case to the desired extent without the auxiliary mentioned.
