Siegelartiger Verschluß für Briefe, Wertpakete o. dgl. Zweck und Ziel
der Erfindung ist, einen Sicherheitsverschluß für Briefe, Wertpakete o. dgl. in
Siegelform zu schaffen, der ein unbefugtes Öffnen und Wiederverschließen derartiger
Postsendungen ohne äußerlich bemerkbare Spuren unmöglich macht. Vorschläge, die
dem gleichen Zwecke dienen, sind bereits mehrfach bekanntgeworden. Meist werden
derartige Sendungen einfach versiegelt. Das hat aber den Nachteil, daß das Anbringen
der Siegel umständlich ist und Zeit erfordert. Außerdem bietet ein solcher Verschluß
keineswegs eine volle Sicherheit, da derartige Siegel nicht allzu schwer ohne Beschädigung
gelöst und wieder angebracht werden können, ohne daß der Empfänger dies mit Sicherheit
feststellen kann. Man hat daher bereits Verschlüsse ver;vendet, die aus einem zweiteiligen
metallenen Druckknopf bestehen, dessen Unterteil vom Innern des Briefes o. dgl.
so durch die Klebeleiste der Verschlußklappe gesteckt wird, daß sein mit einem Kopf
versehener Schaft nach außen ragt, worauf der eine entsprechende Aushöhlung aufweisende
Oberbeil auf diesen Kopf aufgepre(3t wird. Es ist dabei Vorsorge getroffen, daß
der Oberteil des Druckknopfes vom Unterteil nicht mehr gelöst werden kann. Gegebenenfalls
kann dann ein übliches Siegel über diesem Knopf angebracht werden. Wie bereits erwähnt,
ist das Anbringen eines solchen Siegels umständlich, bietet aber andererseits die
Möglichkeit, die Urverletztheit des Verschlusses darzutun, da ohne Siegel der an
sich wenig schöne Druckknopf nach seinem gewaltsamen öffnen durch einen ähnlichen
ohne weiteres ersetzt werden kann, Die Erfindung betrifft nun einen solchen Sicherheitsverschluß,
der die Vorteile des bekannten Druckknopfes und des Siegels miteinander vereinigt
und leicht und ohne Zeitverlust angebracht werden kann. Das Neue der Erfindung besteht
darin, daß der Druckknopfoberteil außen mit einer umlaufenden Ringrille versehen
ist, in die ein flaches, unlösbar mit dem Oberteil verbundenes Gummisiegel eingebettet
ist, dessen Unterseite, ebenso wie die @entsprechende Stelle des Briefumschlages
o. dgl., mit einer an sich bekannten lufttrockenen Gummilösung bestrichen ist. Durch
einfaches Aufdrücken dieses in das Gummisiegel eingebetteten Druckknopfoberteils

Der Sicherheitsverschluß besteht aus einem zweckmäßig metallenen Druckknopf,
dessen., Unterteil a flach und tellerartig ausgebilde` ist und einen kurzen,, kräftigen,
mit eineni. nach vorn zu etwas kegelig geformten Kopf b, versehenen Schaft c trägt,
und aus einem mit einer entsprechenden Aushöhlung d versehenen Oberteile. Diese
Aushöhlung d ist im Durchmesser etwas größer gehalten als der Kopf b des Unterteils
und hat nach unten zu eine Öffnung, deren Durchmesser um ein geringes kleiner ist
als derjenige des Kopfes b, so daß das Aufdrücken des Oberteils e auf den Unterteil
a nur unter Aufwendung einer gewissen Gewalt möglich ist. Da die Unterfläche des
Kopfes b eben ist, kann sich der Kopf nach dem Schließen des Verschlusses in der
Aushöhlung des Oberteils seitlich etwas verschieben (Abb. g), und es wird sehr schwierig
sein, ihn wieder in seine konzentrische Lage zum Oberteil zu bringen, was für die
Lösung des Verschlusses Vorbedingung wäre. Aber auch wenn dies gelingen sollte,
ist ein Herausziehen des Kopfes b aus der Höhlung d unmöglich, weil die Werkstoffe
eine gewisse Dehnungsfähigkeit besitzen, so daß trotz des Eindurchpressens des etwas
dickeren Kopfes b durch die Eintrittsöffnung des Oberteils der Durchmesser der letzteren
stets etwas geringer sein wird als derjenige des Kopfes b. Der Oberteile des Druckknopfes
weist außen eine umlaufende Ringrille i auf, die durch die seitlich hervorragenden
Randwülste e' gebildet ist. Der Oberteile ist in eine gummiartige Siegelmasse f
eingebettet und wird darin durch die Ringrille i unlösbar festgehalten. Diese in
beliebiger Farbe hergestellte Gummimasse ist halbhart und plastisch, so daß mittels
eines heißen Prägestempels ein auf den Absender hinweisender Prägedruck auf ihr
angebracht werden kann. Die Gummimasse kann auch schon bei der Herstellung des Verschluß-
knopfes, also vor dem Anbringen am Brief-
umschlag, entsprechend geprägt sein. Auch
auf der flachen metallenen Oberfläche des

haftet. Damit der von der Innenseite des Briefumschlages aus durch diesen gesteckte
Verschlußunterteil nicht wieder herausfallen kann und das Einlegen des Inhalts stört,
ist er zweckmäßig mittels eines Klebestreifens ä überklebt. In Abb. q. sind mit
h und 7z' die in gewöhnlicher Art mittels eines wasserlöslichen Klebemittels
zusammenzuklebenden Teile der Klebeleiste!' des Briefumschlages k bezeichnet. Der
ganze Verschluß ist sehr flach gehalten und nicht viel dicker als ein gewöhnliches
