Diese Erfindung bezweckt, durch gröfsere oder mindere Entziehung des Athems dem Pferde den Willen und die Kraft zu nehmen. So hat dieser es in der Gewalt, durch den leisesten Anzug der Druckschnur deren Wirkung auf die Luftröhre hervorzurufen. Wegen der mehr als hinreichenden Elasticität der Weichtheile, die beim geringsten Nachlassen der Schnur dem Pferde zu athmen gestatten, habe ich von Spiralen und Gummi-Einsätzen behufs schnellerer Rückführung der Druckschnur Abstand genommen. Der Vorschiebenng d ist von Kautschuk; er wird auf der Druckschnur b, liegt diese lose am Halse des Pferdes an, bis zum Ringe α geschoben, um die Schnur so bei den Bewegungen des Pferdes in dieser Lage zu halten. Die Schnur selbst ist, aus gutem Hanfe hergestellt und mit Leder überzogen, 1 cm dick. Ein guter Stirn- und Halsriemen (Kehlriemen) gestatten selbst beim stärksten Anzüge nur ein geringes Heben des Kopfzeuges; da dieses aber mehr in verticaler Richtung geschieht, das Gebifs also hebt, nicht aber auf die Laden des Pferdemundes drückt, so ist dieses eher vortheilhaft als nachtheilig.
