Verfahren zur Herstellung von Schleudergußhohlkörpern aus Stahl Die
Erfindung bezieht sich auf ,ein. Verfahren zur Herstellung von SchIeudergußhohlkärpern
aus Stahl durch Einschleudern der. Stahlschmelze in eine die Kokille auskleidende
Außenschicht aus Metall von niedrigerem Schmelzpunkt.Process for the production of centrifugally cast hollow bodies from steel Die
Invention relates to a. Process for the production of centrifugal cast hollow bodies
made of steel by centrifuging the. Steel melt in a lining the mold
Outer layer made of metal with a lower melting point.
It was already known to apply several pipes one after the other
hurling concentric layers of different metals. It is already
been proposed, purely tape, a braid or the like. On the inner wall of the mold
to deposit and to spin the main material onto this structure in order to use pipes
to produce a soft outer skin and to make a subsequent annealing process unnecessary
do. Finally it was recognized that there was steel on one of the molds
lining layer made of a heavier metal than the
Main material, e.g. B. made of lead. According to this known method, the
Outer layer poured before or at the same time as the inner layer, so that: at least they are
not yet: should be solidified when the inner layer is thrown in and one
good connection between the layers will be created. When using such
the outer layer of metal of lower melting point lining the mold cools
the outside of the steel layer spin-coated onto such an outer layer
much more slowly than when the steel layer is thrown directly onto the mold
will. The steel layer can then not move much faster on its outside
shrink than on their inside. In addition, it is due to the lower melting point
of the material of the outer layer, the contact zone during the shrinkage
the steel layer still yielding. ' While the known procedure presupposed
that the outer layer of metal of lower melting point, but of specific
The invention is based on a weight greater than that of the main material
to the knowledge that a material that is specifically lighter than the
Main material for which the outer layer can be used, if care is taken
that the outer layer has solidified sufficiently before the main material is applied

of steel, a specifically lighter melt, namely liquid cast iron, into a
to throw in cooled metal mold and the molten steel at such a point in time
to be spun onto the cast iron layer, where it is already or is still doughy
Condition asked that the molten steel not mix with the cast iron
and on the other hand a good one in a familiar way. Welding the two fabrics

related materials exist. But if the outer layer does not: be removed

The method according to the invention is expediently carried out in such a way that the melts are introduced into the casting mold by means of channels, with a relative movement being provided between channel and mold, as is known when only one melt is used. Depending on the length of the body to be thrown and depending on the difference in the solidification temperatures of the materials used, one material can first be thrown in completely and then. using the same or a different feed channel, the second material, or both materials can be thrown in immediately one after the other in quick succession. In the latter case, it is advantageous to use a double pouring trough, in which nvei individual troughs are connected to one unit, preferably in such a way that: in a single trough of sufficient width a longitudinal partition is arranged, the outflow openings for. the two melts have a suitable distance from one another. It is. but also conceivable, in a channel with
will. ! iJas will usually be the werks.to-n of the intermediate layer, the wall thickness of which should be kept as thin as possible in relation to the wall thickness of the steel layer. If necessary, the intermediate layer can be removed by machining after the hollow body has cooled down.

Annealing processes known per se and the like can be used for spinning.

Casting ladles or with the interposition of automatically controlled casting buddies.
The liquid steel is expediently fed in and advantageously also fed in
the material for -the outer layer of one z. B. gas-heated collecting tank.
