Die Hebevorrichtung ist in vorliegend gedachtem Falle in einem Gehäuse gelagert, dessen zwei Lagerbügel L L₁ oben durch das schmiedeiserne Querstück P mit Anhängehaken P₁ und zu beiden Seiten durch die Schraubenbolzen b fest mit einander verbunden sind. ^ In den Bügeln L L₁ sind zwei Achsen A und B gelagert, wovon auf A die aus einem Stück gegossene Kettennufs N mit den zu beiden Seiten angeordneten Stiftenscheiben W und W₁ aufgesteckt ist, während auf B die beiden mit spiralförmigen Curven versehenen Scheiben T T₁ und das Handkettenrad H aufgekeilt sind. An die in den Scheiben W und W₁ in genauen, gleichen Abständen befestigten Stahlbolzen s S₁, wovon die der einen Scheibe gegen die andere Scheibe um einen bestimmten Betrag nach rechts verstellt sind, legen sich die Curven C₁ C₃ und C₂ C₄ der Curvenscheiben T T₁ bei Drehung des Handkettenrades H abwechselnd an und versetzen durch ihre eigenartige, aus der Zeichnung ersichtliche Construction und durch das Entlanggleiten an s bezw. S₁ die Stiftenscheiben und somit auch die Kettennufs in eine um A drehende gleichmäfsige Bewegung, so dafs eine dort eingelegte Kette mit anhängender Last gehoben bezw. gesenkt werden mufs. Für letzteren Fall sind zur sicheren Rückwärtsbewegung vier Gegencurven K₁ K₃ bezw.
