dargestellt.Liquid switch designed as a closed-circuit switch, in particular
Mercury Switch The present invention relates to a quiescent current switch
trained liquid switch, in particular mercury switch, in which the
Contact formation between. two fixed, at opposite points of the perpendicular
arranged switching vessel inserted electrodes, with the help of the liquid through
Moving a magnetically armored immersion vessel filled with conductive liquid
pursued by telectomagnetic means. The immersion vessel is known per se
Whites as one of two concentric, connected at the lower end
Rohreal formed from insulating material limited annular space into which the upper tubular
Electrode protrudes in such a way that: it opens the inner tube in both switch positions
encloses. The known switches of this type have the disadvantage that: as a result of
Inadequate damping and poor guidance of the immersion vessel during operation is easy
Malfunctions occur. and that often when transported through the great mass of mercury
mechanical destruction occurs. These disadvantages are in the arrangement according to
of the invention thereby. avoided the. for immersing the immersion vessel in the
Switching fluid serving spring is arranged in the immersion vessel so that. you the inside
The tube encloses this vessel at a short distance and is on the one hand on the ground
of the immersion vessel, on the other hand on the lower surface of the top. Electrode supported.
As a result, safe guidance of the immersion vessel is given in a simple manner and
ensures that the inner tube of the immersion vessel is in its central position within
of the upper tubular electrode always maintains. This is not just a jamming
of the immersion vessel at the upper electrode avoided, but also achieved that the
large contact area that the upper electrode has due to its tubular shape
offers, is always fully exploited and not through a one-sided concern of the
inner tube of the immersion vessel part of the effective contact area is forfeited.
The spring is constantly in the mercury, which also acts as a damping fluid
acts for the spring, so that the switching process disruptive dancing backwards
Dip vessel is avoided. The spring is also always well cooled in this way
and not exposed to the switching sparks. An exemplary embodiment is shown schematically in the drawing
of the invention applied to a mercury interrupter in closed circuit
shown.
4. des Glasgefäßes i
magnetischen Körpers 2 innerhalb der Röhre i gegen.
It is i the glass vessel, z a cylindrical body made of ferromagnetic

To highlight mercury mass. In order to cancel the forces effective in this sense,
a spring 8 is provided, on the one hand on a fixedly arranged on the
Electrode 5 attached ring 7 and on the other hand on the lower bottom of the immersion vessel
3 supports. This achieves on the one hand that the masses of the magnetic body
2 and the immersion vessel 3 can be kept relatively small and on the other hand,
that the position of the dip vessel 3 and the mostly made of glass or quartz
magnetic body 2 inside the tube i against. Shocks, for example during transport,
is practically insensitive. The spring 8 is conveniently located within the mercury
arranged, whereby a cooling maintenance of the spring is brought about. The spiral spring
8 is concentric to the interrupter and the moving parts and concentric to the
Ring 7, which is attached to the electrode 5 and on which the spring 8 is supported,
appropriate. As a result, clamps when moving the immersion vessel 3 and the
ferromagnetic body 2 avoided. The spring 8, possibly also several
Springs are appropriately sized so that their force is only slightly stronger than the
Buoyancy is that the vessel 3 experiences together with the body, r 2 in the mercury.
