Description

Bei der bisher üblichen Ausgestaltung der Pfeifenköpfe war nur die Anbringung von Klappdeckeln oder von nach den Seiten hin verschiebbaren Deckeln möglich. Diese Deckel stehen aber nicht nur in geöffneter, sondern auch in geschlossener Stellung weit über den Außenrand der Pfeifenköpfe vor und erschweren dadurch das Einstecken und das Herausziehen der Pfeifen in die bzw. aus den Taschen, da gerade die vorstehenden Deckel leicht hängenbleiben. Durch dieses Hängenbleiben der Deckel, die sich hierbei meistens öffnen, wird vielfach ein Verschütten des in den Tabakraum eingefüllten Tabaks oder der Asche verursacht. Die Breite und Länge des !-'^Deckels 15 müssen so gewählt werden, daß er cÜ^n Rand der Füllöffnung des Tabakraums 11 ίά verschlossener Stellung übergreift. Die ■ Seitenkanten des Deckels 15 werden beim Verschieben desselben durch die Lappen 18 der Schienen 17 geführt. Um ein Herausfallen des Deckels 15 aus den Führungsschienen 17 zu verhindern und um ein Festhalten des Deckels in seiner jeweiligen Stellung zu sichern, bestehen die Schienen 17, 18 aus Federmaterial und sind bei 20 so geschlitzt (Fig. 6), daß an jeder der Schienen eine federnde Zunge 17' entsteht. Diese Zungen sind etwas nach unten gedrückt und schleifen beim Verschieben des Deckels federnd auf demselben. Wird der Deckel 15 von der Füllöffnung des Tabakraums weggeschoben, so wird seine Führung durch die das Pfeifenrohr 12 umgreifenden Gabelenden 16 unterstützt. Durch das Anstoßen der Querkante der Gabel an das Pfeifenrohr 12 wird die Verschiebung des Deckels beim öffnen des Tabakraums begrenzt. Um den Deckel 15 auch in der Verschlußstellung zu halten, ist ein in den Kopf eingelassener Anschlag 21 (Fig. 1 und 9) vorgesehen.
