Description
Method and device for applying side embossments to from Tubular glass produced hollow glass bodies It is known that produced from tubular glass To provide objects such as bottles or the like with embossing. It is also known in conjunction with an automatic glass blowing machine, the hollow glass bodies produced to reheat by blowing again against a mold with an inscription with a To emboss and then to cool. The embossing was done by blowing out of the object in a two-part mold with heating of the whole object achieved. The shape leaves a seam in the process because it is in two parts. In addition, if it was tubular glass, the process became 'almost exclusive done by hand. Bottles made from tubular glass were made by machines previously only provided floor embossing, as they are by means of the bottom mold plate in the bottle part softened for the purpose of forming the bottom. That The subject of the invention forming method allows the glasses with a Side embossing to be produced seamlessly and by machine. The difficulty lies here mainly in having a seamless bottle made of tubular glass must not soften as a whole, because this would cause it to lose its shape.
According to the invention, in order to circumvent the difficulty, the bottle or the like. Heated over its entire length, while the embossing point on the side alone is heated until it softens, whereupon the embossing is blown out of the bottle o. The like. Is attached to a template. The bottle is initially under Twist around the entire circumference between the floor and chest. Thereupon the Embossing point with suspension of rotation first a special preheating, then a high level of heating approximately corresponding to the embossed outline. Then the bottle o. Like. On one adapted to its scope, provided with the mirror image of the embossed inscription Support pressed, at the same time put under air pressure and then under rotation chilled.
The individual process stages are carried out by a burner and a template executed at successive work stations of a machine for the production of bottles made of tubes and the like, as they are known in their basic structure is arranged.
Further details of the invention are given below with reference to the Description of the drawing showing only one embodiment of the invention.
Fig. I shows a pictorial representation of a machine for execution of the method in side view, Fig. 2 the same in plan view.
Durch das Ausblasen der Flasche gegen die Schablone wird die Seitenprägung erzeugt.a and b designate two roller blocks known per se of a machine for the production of bottles or the like from tubular glass. c and d are support brackets where the bottle does not rotate. e shows the template with which the embossing is made. The bottles are conveyed in a manner known per se by lever bars f from work place to work place of the bottle processing, in such a way that, after the bottle body has previously been produced without embossing, they pass through the points a, c, d, e, b one after the other to then from to be removed from the inclined surface g. For the purpose of:. Attaching the embossing - @ r5 bottle is preheated on the roller block a while turning 'by the burner h. The lever bar f then lifts the bottle onto the brackets c. Between these there is a small burner i, which further heats the lower part of the hollow glass body into which the embossing is to be made. After the bottle has lingered here for a short time, it is lifted by the lever bar onto the bracket d, under which a burner k corresponding to the outline of the embossing point is arranged. Here the embossing point is heated until the glass softens. After the bottle has been exposed to heating for a period of time, it is lifted onto the embossing template e. The template is semi-cylindrical and consists, for example, of charcoal, in which an embossed lettering, e.g. B. made of iron plate m is inserted. While the bottle is resting on the template, blowpipes l engage in the bottle necks, as is also known per se. The bottle is pressed onto the template through a bar. The side embossing is created by blowing the bottle against the template.
Around the embossing point, which is heated higher than the other parts of the bottle, well to cool without the bottle jumping, the embossing plate is m from below blown by air passing through a hose o and a channel n in the template body is directed.
From the template, the bottle is placed on a roller block for cooling b lifted, in order to then be discharged from here via the inclined surface g. 'There are many possible embodiments conceivable without leaving the scope of the invention step out.
