Bei dem Gaskochherd nach der Erfindung wird das Oberteil durch einen Blechaufsatz gebildet, der aus einer vorderen kastenartigen Verkleidung« sowie einer sich daran anschließenden muldenförmigen Abdeckplatte a' besteht, die auf dem Herdrumpf b lösbar bezo festigt ist. Durch den Blechaufsatz werden sämtliche Regelhähne c und Gaszuführungsrohre d allseitig abgedeckt, wobei die Regelhähne oberhalb der Zuführungsrohre d in der kastenartigen Verkleidung α liegen, aus der nur die Bedienungsgriffe c' der Hähne herausragen. Die muldenförmige Abdeckplatte a! schließt im Gegensatz zu dem bisher bei Gaskochherden verwendeten herausziehbaren Schmutzblech den Herdteil e, in dem die Kochbrenner/ liegen, vollkommen dicht vom Back- und Bratraum und dem Unterbau des Herdes ab.
