Description
Circuit arrangement for regulating clocks. The invention relates on a circuit arrangement for regulating clocks. Such circuit arrangements are required to obtain the exact rate of various clocks from a central point, which can again be designed as mother clocks for smaller networks, too monitor and regulate. With the known systems it is usually necessary to provide special lines for clock regulation, which are very poor be exploited, as the regulation itself is only pursued at longer intervals and only takes a little time. It has also already been suggested to adjust the clock via existing lines, such as over telephone lines, and these known arrangements are those for regulation required switching means have been switched on in the existing line, while only at the central clock there is never a partial shutdown of the line from the telephone device and connection to the regulating device @ done. These Arrangement has the disadvantage that due to the additional and necessary for the regulation, switching means that are permanently in the lines enable the transmission of other processes is deteriorated over the line and that, on the other hand, the various processes can disturb each other. It is also known to regulate flow over single-core To send Morse telegraph lines, here the receiving apparatus can continuously remain switched on, as a received by switching local circuits Stroke acts on the switched on control device of the clock. But this is only possible in the case in which the continuously switched on apparatus for recording the regulatory symbols are suitable and allow an appropriate implementation. One Independence from the type and mode of operation of the connected devices can be based on cannot be achieved this way. For this reason, the invention sees a self-- active switching in such a way that shortly before the regulation time both on the central clock as on the clock to be regulated independently of one another by from switching means de lines controlled by both clocks from those provided for other purposes Apparatus (T3, centr.) Automatically switched off and sent to the - regulating devices the central clock and the clock to be regulated are switched on. This switching means are special in both clocks; Local power sources fed so that, at the times when there is no regulation, no additional ones Switching means are in the line.
To regulate and control the remote clocks is in the embodiment an arrangement selected> in the case of the existing two-wire telephone lines are used for the period of regulation by the telephone exchange or by Telephone set of the subscriber switched off and for the Purposes can be harnessed for regulation.
The regulation takes place in a manner known per se in such a way that to certain times both from the 7xntral clock and from the clocks to be regulated Contacts controlled by the clockwork preparing circuits via local batteries are closed, which are interrupted again at the exact point in time of regulation will. About the simultaneous regulation of several clocks and the resulting Load on the central. Avoid battery is except for the specified mechanical Preparatory contacts are provided in the central clock, which Different clock modes or groups of clocks one after the other at certain time intervals for regulation by the central clock.
For this purpose, the central clock is equipped with a continuously rotating distributor V, which in the case of the example rotates in the direction of the arrow and quickly reaches contact 3 and keeps it closed for the duration of the preparation time for the regulation and the regulation itself. In doing so, a circuit is formed via the preparatory contact 13 'of the central clock, which has also been closed in the meantime. + Regulating battery, relay Rs, contact 3, arm - of the distributor 1l, preparatory contact 1 3, regulating contact 14, - regulating battery.
In this current circuit, the relay R3 responds and switches the subscriber line by means of. the changeover contacts 15 and 1 6 from the indicated: telephone exchange (center) and switches it to the positive pole of the regulating battery and one end of a relay R explained in more detail below in its mode of operation.
Relais R2 schaltet die Teilnehmeranschlußleitung vom Telephonapparat Ts ab und an den Magneten R1 an.The clock Hs assigned to subscriber T3 is set up in such a way that that something is going on compared to the normal time of the central clock. So she concluded Shortly before the contact .r3 in the central clock was closed, a separate power line contact was made 20 and in turn caused - thereby the excitation of the changeover relay R2, which is excited in the local circuit of the battery g3. Relay R2 switches the subscriber line from the telephone set Ts off and on to the magnet R1.
A circuit for relay R., clock H3 and relay R4 of the central clock is closed via the two-sided switched wires of the subscriber connection line L: -r- regulating battery, contact z 5, contact z1, relay R1, contact 2 2, contact 1 6, relay R4, contact 13, contact 14, - regulating battery.
In this circuit only the high-resistance relay R responds and closes its contact 24. This closes a local flow circuit for a control device known per se, which records on a recording strip that the clock H3 is connected and prepared for regulation. When responding, the control device closes the circuit for its relay 28, which attracts its armature and bridges the relay & by means of contact 3o. When contact 24 drops, the control device is switched off again, but a holding circuit is closed for winding 32 of relay 28 via contact 29 and the regulating battery. By bridging the relay R at contact 3 o the relay R1 of the clock Hu receives enough current to respond and its contacts 35 and 36 to close. The contact 36 closes the circuit for the relay R2 independently of the contacts 2o and 33 on the clock H3 , so that even during the regulation of the clock when the contact 33 is switched over, a holding circuit for the relay R2 remains. The successive response of the relays R4 and Rl can also be achieved in that the relay R1 is equipped with a pick-up delay. For regulation, the clock Hs switches contact 33 shortly before the correct regulation time and energizes the regulating magnet: in the circuit: -i--, contact 35, regulating magnet 34, contact 33, contact 2o, - battery Bs.
The regulating magnet causes a continuation of the pointer for the Duration of his excitement: can no longer take place. Only at the exact time of regulation, d. H. when the regulating magnet drops, the pointer can move forward your own clockwork.
At the time of regulation, the central clock switches its contact 14 and opens thereby the circuit that exists over the subscriber line L for the relay Ri. Relay Dl therefore opens its contacts and thereby interrupts the circuit for the regulating magnet 34 so that the clock H3 is released at the precise time and continues. By opening .des contact 36, the holding circuit for the relay R2 interrupted and the connection line L put back on the apparatus Ts. The others Changes in the clock Hs are irrelevant. After a while, the Contacts zo and 33 returned to their normal position until shortly before the next regulatory period to be placed in readiness.
Also in the central clock -was by opening the contact 14 of the circuit for relay Rs interrupted and diesel contacts 15 and 1 6 switched back again, so that the subscriber is connected to the telephone exchange T3 again. The short circuit of the relay 124 was also canceled by switching over the contacts 15 and 1 6 due to the relay 28 dropping out, and the original state of the central clock was restored.
With the continuous switching of the distributor V, its switching arm now prepare to meet a new contact on which the not shown corresponding switching means of a connection line of a second subscriber connected to a clock.
