Description
Method for painting a flowable rubber dispersion a length of fabric When painting lengths of fabric, especially fabrics, with a KautgchukcUspersion and at, the manufacture of rubber sheets by painting used to be a doctor knife with a straight, smooth and uninterrupted one Coating edge used, which is arranged so that they against the fabric or the other coating pad presses. It has mostly been customary here too, below one. such a doctor blade to arrange a support roller or similar support device, thus get a support surface. on which the tissue or the other Spreading pad is applied while the chewing schoolk dispersion through the spreading knife is applied to the opposite side. Sometimes the tissue or the other Coating pad under such a doctor blade without the use of a support roller passed through and then pulled up under tension so that the doctor knife with friction over the surface of the fabric or the like. Slides away and coating mass spreads. These procedures are quite satisfactory to a certain extent Results; however, they have certain disadvantages in large farms. If the The aqueous rubber dispersion to be applied is not viscous and between a doctor blade and a support roller is applied, the rubber dispersion beats easily passes through the fabric and collects on the support roller, causing both work difficulties occur and defective products are received will. On the other hand, the amount of rubber dispersion when applied to the fabric is applied by pulling it against a doctor blade of the type mentioned; limited by the pull exerted on the tissue. must to its surface to keep constantly in contact with the edge of the knife. So if a ; if a large amount of tension is exerted on the woven fabric, only a small amount of Kauts @ chnkdispersxon is used applied to the fabric and to make its coating of the required thickness, the procedure must therefore be repeated several times. If on the other hand on the tissue only a small pull is exercised; so the fabric cannot match the required Uniformity to be passed by the knife, so that very easily an uneven Coating is obtained.
The invention therefore aims, first of all, to address the above-mentioned difficulties to eliminate and; the application of. even more fluid. Rubber dispersions, as they have been used so far. could., look forward to moving fabric flags and to enable even thicker layers in a single operation. the Another object of the invention; the amount of rubber dispersion to be applied to the substrates to make regardless of the move that is on the base, such. B. a fabric, exerted in order to: push it against the coater. To other advantages The further aspect of the invention is pointed out in the following description.
According to the invention, a doctor blade is used, which in itself known way equipped with an interrupted coating edge i5-.t, namely the latter is made up of a number of support or guide surfaces that are on the to slide the covering surface along the underlay, and a number in between arranged reindeer of regular depth and width together, so that through the latter a regular inflow of liquid li # jautschlukdsp; ersion is made possible. " The support or guide surfaces can be at a small angle to the direction of travel the fabric to be covered, but they are advantageously complete arranged in parallel with this. The purpose of the support or guide surfaces is to to slide along the fabric to be covered and this continuously on a pre-determined from the inner surface of the grooves. or to hold clippings, so that the über, erlziwgmassie can flow through the grooves or gaps, their. Size determines the thickness of the spread. S The procedure for deleting a flowable rubber dispersion on a moving web of material is according to the invention thus that by a with, an interrupted Coating edge -, nersehenes, on. the surface of the 'to be covered fabric web sliding knife along the rubber dispersion on the Stöffbahn in. im Fluid ribs running at a distance from one another are transferred by inserting the Rubber dispersion through said grooves o. The like. Flows, and thereafter by confluence of the formed liquid ribs a cohesive uniform Liquid layer is formed; the danai in a known white by coagulating, Drying or the like is solidified.
The rubber dispersion on the doctor blade is advantageous here applied to the said panel, and the panel is expediently under Pull pulled under the doctor knife.
If a plate. from the l #: autsc ukdisp.ersion should, so can. the circumferential web of fabric made of a mesh or a groomed. Fabric or a flexible material, for example a sheet of metal, exist,. thereby allowing the solidified coating to be stripped off can.
The doctor blade can expediently be provided with a finite thread Bar insist like it. illustrated schematically on an enlarged scale in FIG is. This bar can @ da = -be attached to a holding device, like @es schematically in the perspective view - of FIG. 2 is illustrated. Fig. 3 shows schematically in which way the subject of the invention for painting webs of fabric can be used.
The doctor knife i has screw threads 3 and in between Grooves 2 provided, namely the heads of the screw threads are advantageously blunted, as indicated in Fig. i. The knife is attached to a bar 6 or similar, those with a groove q. is provided in which the bar by common aids is attached. Instead of the mentioned knife with screw threads can of course also any other bar o., the like. That with a number of grooves of the required size and is provided with support or guide surfaces will.
Wise it in, Fig. 3 is indicated, the fabric web 7 is under a. Container 8 passed through which the required amount l, Z # autschukdisp, ersiöneiner Point g fed in, at which a certain amount of rubber dispersion - the, through the surface of the fabric web, and the doctor blade z is limited, in stock is held. -This feed can be adjusted in such a way that the _Üb.erzugsmasse accumulates in the space between the fabric web 7 and the knife z, but not over the usual wedges on each side of the device. -The panel will be under yours. Striker i pulled away, and the Kautschükdi, spersi.on becomes due to the grooves or passages in the doctor blade with space -auf the panel, applied. The rubber dispenser applied in this way flows thanks to ersiou to form a continuous, even layer, while the length of fabric a conventional drying device i i is fed. From the drying device then go to the dried and coated length of fabric in a manner known per se after a take-up roll 12 driven by devices (not shown). can be driven so that the coated web of fabric, with uniform Speed that is wrapped.
When carrying out the method according to the invention, the amount is the rubber dispersion uniformly applied in the aforementioned manner to a web of fabric practically regardless of the pressure of the web of fabric against the coating device, as the fabric hardly needs to be pressed against the doctor blade. Furthermore, since the amount of applied l # .'- a: utschukdisp, ersion by the size of the grooves or gaps in The doctor blade can be regulated, can be even and relatively produce thick layers in a single operation, so that the Previously required application of several layers of coating around the associated ones Avoid intermediate drying.
