Description
In the case of internal brakes with floating brake shoes, such as those in motor vehicles are used, the brake shoes are pressed against the brake shoe carrier with the help of springs fixed abutment held, and expediently in such a way that the in the main direction of rotation for Vorwärtsf The rear brake shoe - i.e. the secondary shoe - eats stronger against that Abutment is pressed as the primary brake shoe. If now when applying the brake ζ. B. with the help of a spreading lever or other devices, the primary brake shoe against the brake drum moved and then taken along by this and then released the brake again the return springs pull the primary brake shoe quickly against the abutment, which always creates a clapping noise. Attempts have already been made to this To eliminate the disadvantage, however, satisfactory results have not yet been achieved. In particular, attempts have been made to achieve a permanent one by means of wedge-shaped abutments Plant of the brake shoes on the abutment to maintain, so that the brake shoe ends also in the position applied - the brake does not leave the abutment. The decisive factor was that the ends of the brake shoes would then should only move radially outward at the abutment when applying the brakes and slide radially inwards again when the brakes are released. This is not taken into account been that the spreading lever used here in the usual way no radial pressure outward on the brake shoes exert a more tangential pressure, so that then stejs a - albeit perhaps less - lifting of one end of the brake shoe from the Abutment and thus the clapping noise occurs again.
Das Hauptmerkmal der Erfindung besteht darin, daß der Winkel der Keilflächen des Widerlagers so bemessen ist,In contrast, the invention is based on the idea in connection with the known wedge-shaped abutment also to use a specially designed, also known spreading lever, which one after outwardly directed pressure in a precisely determined direction on the brake bar ends exercises, so that in connection with the return springs a guarantee is given that the ends of the brake shoes do not leave the abutment sides. The main feature of the invention consists in the fact that the angle of the wedge surfaces of the abutment is dimensioned so
daß die gleitend geführten Enden der Bremsbacken bis zur vollen Anlage an die Bremstrommel in Berührung mit den Keilflächen bleiben und daß die Druckfläche des Spreizhebeis, welche die in der Hauptumdrehungsrichtung für Vorwärtsfahrt primäre Bremsbacke gegen die Bremstrommel drückt, senkrecht zur Winkelhalbierenden zwischen der zugehörigen schrägen Seite des Keiles und ίο der Verbindungslinie der Endpunkte der beiden Seiten des keilförmigen Widerlagers angeordnet ist.that the sliding ends of the brake shoes up to full contact with the brake drum remain in contact with the wedge surfaces and that the pressure surface of the expansion jack, which presses the primary brake shoe in the main direction of rotation for forward travel against the brake drum, vertically to bisect the angle between the associated sloping side of the wedge and ίο the line connecting the end points of the two Sides of the wedge-shaped abutment is arranged.
With this arrangement, a completely smooth operation of the brake can be achieved, so that the object on which the invention is based is thereby achieved in its entirety.
In order to actually use the primary brake shoe for forward travel in all cases Letting it go into action first can, in addition to the actually stronger return spring for this jaw also in a known manner one end of another spring this jaw be connected, the other end of which is connected to the approach carrying the pressure surface of the spreading lever is connected. As soon as the expansion lever is then moved, will then also the tensile force, which holds the secondary brake shoe on the abutment, amplified, so that with certainty first the primary jaw comes to rest on the brake drum.
In the drawing is an embodiment for a brake training according to the invention illustrated.

The ring-shaped brake shoe carrier 10 is ah one place! through a plate 12 reinforced and pierced so that the abutment 14 with its screw shaft 16 inserted and secured by a nut 18 can be. The shaft of the abutment is expediently roughened at 20 within the reinforcement plate 12, in order to achieve this to create a safeguard against twisting of the abutment.
The abutment 14 is wedge-shaped, so that the side edges 22 and 24 diverge outwards. Inside and outside are the edges of the abutment at 26 and curved arcuately. A disk 32 can be placed on top of the abutment 14 be that has a slightly larger area than the abutment and thus a guide forms for the ends of the brake shoes and prevents lifting of the brake shoe ends from the abutment in the lateral direction.
The brake shoes 48 and 50 are designed in the usual way and, with the wedge surfaces 22 and 24 of the abutment 14, bear corresponding end surfaces 60 and 62 against the abutment. The brake shoes are held against the abutment by return springs 74 and 76, which act on the one hand on the two brake shoes 48 and 50 and on the other hand on a pin 30 attached to the abutment. The spring 76 is stronger than the spring 74, since the latter leads to the jaw 48, which is intended to work as the primary brake shoe in the main direction of rotation for forward travel, so that the secondary jaw 50 must be pulled more forcefully against the abutment than the primary jaw 48.
The brake shoes 48 and 50 are located on the side opposite the abutment held by a spring 58 with their ends against an adjusting device 56. Between the brake shoes and the brake shoe carrier 10 are resilient supports 52 and 54 arranged in a manner known per se.
The expansion lever 36 is located on the abutment 14 between the ends of the brake shoes its end 38 engages a Bowden cable 40 or a similar operating device. The expansion lever 36 engages with a recess around the abutment 14 while its lugs 44 and 46, designed as pressure surfaces, lie on the outside and inside of the brake shoe ends. Approach 44 lies exactly radially, while the inner projection 46 is inclined on the primary brake shoe 48 is applied in such a way that its pressure surface is perpendicular to the bisector between the wedge side 22 and the outer Side of the wedge is arranged. It is also useful to have one on this projection 46 further return spring 80 connected, the other end to the secondary brake shoe is led.
If now the expansion lever 36 is moved to apply the brakes, the presses Compression spring 46 due to their inclination and because of the stronger spring 76 and the Spring 80 on the secondary brake shoe, the primary brake shoe 48 on the abutment edge 22 radially outwards until it rests on the brake drum 78, whereupon the brake continues to work in the usual manner. That The end of the brake shoe does not leave the abutment when the brake is released is, the brake shoe on the abutment slides inwards again without any Noise can arise.
