Infolge der treibenden Kraft des Zusatzmittels wird beim Auflösen der Tabletten im Wasser die Masse aufgelockert. Das Wasser kann ungehindert zu den einzelnen Teilchen des Polyvinylalkohols treten, und es erfolgt eine schnelle Auflösung des Polyvinylalkohols ohne Zusammenballen.
