Vorliegende Erfindung bezweckt, schlaffgewordene Riemen oder solche, welche nur vorübergehend verkürzt werden sollen, auf einfache und sichere Weise zu spannen.The present invention aims to slacken belts or those that only are to be temporarily shortened to be tensioned in a simple and safe manner.

Bei der ersten Ausführung (Fig. 1,2,3,4 und4a) ist ein gebogenes Querstück α (Fig. 4 und 4a) mit zwei Seitentheilen versehen und mit denselben aus einem Stück Metall hergestellt und trägt auf der unteren inneren Seite ein mit Leder b bekleidetes Holzstück c, welches mittelst Schrauben oder dergleichen befestigt wird. Die Seitentheile d haben die in Fig. 1 ersichtliche Form und besitzen je zwei Einschnitte e, in welche die halbcylindrischen Klemmstücke /, Fig. 4 Und 4a, mit ihren zapfenförmigen Enden g gelegt werden. Soll der Riemenspanner in Anwendung kommen, so wird der Riemen über das Querstück α gelegt und die beiden Klemmstücke f eingeschoben; ist der Riemen auf die Riemscheibe etc. aufgezogen, so prefst er sich einerseits an die nach aufsen gekehrte Fläche des Querstückes, andererseits wird er von den beiden Klemmstücken gehalten. Der Riemen ist also um das Stück, mit welchem er auf dem Querstück aufliegt, verkürzt.
