Fig. ι und 2 zeigen in Ansicht und Grundrifs die Glocke auf höherem, in der Zeichnung abgebrochenem Ständer aufgestellt. Die Schalen 4 sitzen fest auf den Wellen B, welche in dem Ständer C gelagert sind und mittelst der Hebel E um ihre Achsen gedreht .werden können. Die Federn F drehen die Wellen zurück und schliefsen die Schalenhälften, soi bald die Hebel E losgelassen werden. In der Ansicht (Fig. 1) ist die eine Schalenhälfte geöffnet. ...
• Fig. .3 und 4 stellen den Apparat in anderer Weise ausgeführt dar. Die Schalenhälften G drehen sich mit den Wellen H um deren Achsen. Die Enden der letzteren aufserhalb der Schalen sind mit Zahnkranztheilen / versehen, in welche eine doppelte Zahnstange N eingreift, so dafs bei einem Drucke auf die Zahnstange die Achsen H und mit diesen die Schalenhälften G gedreht werden. Die Feder K, welche sich gegen das Widerlager L stützt, dreht die Wellen zurück und schliefst die Glocken. Patent claim:

A locking bell for plates, bowls and other vessels, consisting of the two bell halves (AA ¹ ), each seated on an axis of rotation (BB ¹ J ), which can be folded out of one another by means of pressure levers, racks or the like acting on the axes of rotation and under the action of springs , which can also be replaced by weights, return to their final position.
