Description
It is known in rubber hoses, tires and the like. Hollow objects made of rubber instead of fabric as reinforcing layers of thread in one or more layers to insert, the threads of which are stretched and straightened within each individual layer side by side and, in the case of several layers, crossed from layer to layer run towards each other.
If you align all the threads axially in such hoses, the hose has in in the axial direction only the low extensibility of the threads themselves; besides, he's not flexible, but at best kinkable, but it has an elasticity in the radial direction, as if there were no deposits at all. If, of course, in another layer or in other layers, in addition, threads run in the circumferential direction perpendicular to the axial planes, this also raises the radial extensibility except for the slight extensibility the threads themselves on. If, on the other hand, the crossing threads are allowed to ner layers run obliquely to the axial planes, so the hose has both in the axial as well as elastic extensibility in the radial direction beyond the slight extensibility of the threads themselves, it can be In addition, without kinking, bend elastically and twist elastically around its axis as the axis of rotation. The greatest axial expansion, the greatest radial expansion, the greatest bending and the greatest twist are through the threads are pressed here beyond those dimensions which one denotes the threadless Expect hoses of the same wall thickness and rubber quality without overstressing could. The gain in strength due to the threads is therefore a loss of elastic extensibility, flexibility and Rotatability opposite. It is true that the limits of the Thereby increasing elasticity, flexibility, etc., that one continues the threads within the layers and from layer to layer, kept from each other, in other words, based on the unit of space, inserted fewer threads. With a given strength of the individual threads, however, the strength was reduced again, which would be all the less permissible, rather than increasing compliance limits, increasing strength demanded. This means can only be used to a very limited extent. According to the state of The only thing left to do with technology was the more complete the elastic strength of the Rubbers should be used, all the more to forego the strength or, if one did not want to warp on high strength, the less elastic resilience to accept.
Wie die Erfindung lehrt, ist nun aber· das Erreichen einer hohen Festigkeit und zugleich einer beliebig hohen elastischen Nachgiebigkeit doch möglich, ja es erlaubt die Erfindung sogar, bei jeder gegebenen Festigkeit das Auftreten der Wirkung der Zugfestigkeit der Fäden auf jede als im Höchstfall erreichbar gewünschte elastische Beanspruchbarkeit genau einzustellen, so daß die Beanspruchung nicht über dieses Höchstmaß hinausgehenAs the invention teaches, however, · the achievement of high strength and at the same time An arbitrarily high elastic resilience is possible, yes, the invention allows even, at any given strength, the effect of tensile strength will appear of the threads to any elastic load capacity desired as achievable in the maximum case set precisely so that the stress does not go beyond this maximum
kann,, unterhalb derselben aber überhaupt nicht durch die Fäden behindert wird.can, below it, but at all is not obstructed by the threads.
For this purpose, the invention proposes that the threads are not stretched as before, but rather in the layer surface in question, generally speaking, not stretched, d. H. for example zigzag or in a wave-like manner, running roughly parallel to each other. With elastic Stresses on the hose ίο then the threads are first gradually stretched, um, when they are completely stretched when they reach a certain elastic deformation, precisely the highest permitted deformation, to counteract further deformation with their full tensile strength.
It is no longer new in and of itself to insert threads not stretched into the rubber body. The known suggestions are limited to what the specifics of the tasks to be fulfilled, completely different cases of inserting a single thread lengthwise in an elongated solid body made of rubber and the insertion of a plurality of threads in flat pieces of rubber for sealing and packing purposes. The protection claims should also only on deposits in the walls of hollow bodies, in particular of hoses, and the subclaims to me. Relate hoses according to the main claim. In the various cases of the nature of the Insertion in hoses and the like is the mode of action of the non-stretched threads as follows:
If the threads all run in the axial direction, they are, however, according to the invention curled or the like, in general, not stretched, the radial extensibility is unlimited, however, the tube can only be stretched axially until the threads are stretched as a result of the stretching. One can now evidently the threads curl more or less and thus to every measure of the stretching path, to adjust. If you adjust the length of the stretching path so that it is the same as the highest elongation Desired elongation of the hose, this can be achieved, but not be exceeded. Obviously one is completely free in the measurement of the total tensile strength of the threads, insofar as they are determined by the strength of the individual threads as well as the number, d. H. the density of the threads is determined.
In accordance with its axial expandability, the hose is also flexible and twistable. If the corrugated threads run in the circumferential direction, the tube is axially unlimited stretchable; It can also be stretched radially, but only until the threads are stretched. If you put by corresponding, -chende Choice of the dimension of the corrugation the stretching path to the length corresponding to the widening permitted as the highest widening one, then you can widen the hose unhindered until then, but not beyond.
How does a hose behave, which one Layers with in the axial direction and with in the circumferential direction has wavy threads, arises without; further from the above. Such a Hose is axial and according to the dimension of the corrugation of the axial corrugated threads according to the size of the corrugation of the circumferential threads, which can be selected independently of this. radially expandable. It is also elastically flexible and rotatable accordingly.
Of course you could not stretch the threads in one direction, but insert the other direction completely stretched and thus z. B. 'get a tube that does not widen, but j can be stretched, bent and twisted axially.
When you finally get to the wavy and roughly intersecting from layer to layer Lets threads run obliquely to the axial and radial planes, so allow the threads compared to the cases discussed above, the dimensions of the waves are the same, i. H. same Extension distances, provided a higher elastic Stress. Accordingly, you can get by with smaller stretching distances if you have the same maximum loads want to allow.
.The case just discussed last is shown in an example in the drawing. Fig. Ι shows the tube in the uppermost part α in view. In the next lower part, the outermost rubber layer b of the front tube half is cut away so that the outermost thread layer c is visible. In the next part, the outermost thread layer c is also cut away so that the thread layer immediately below it is visible. In the next part the second thread layer is also cut away so that the third thread layer e is visible. On the right and left you can see the radial cut surfaces delimiting the semi-cylindrical cutouts, in which the threads of the successive thread layers appear as small white circular areas. These radial cut surfaces also show a fourth thread layer f, which one has to think of as the thread layer e. .
The innermost part of the hose wall forms a rubber core g without inserts.
Fig. 2 shows a radial section through the hose.
Ferner könnte man die SchichtenSuch thread inlays could also be used up to the inner and outer wall surface provide. You could also use the layers
Schließlich könnte man z. B. zwei gekreuzte Fadenschichten vergleichsweise nahe beieinander anordnen und mehrere solcher Schichtgruppen in gewissen radialen Abständen vorsehen. separate them further or 'arrange them even closer to one another, or one could keep the distances different. Finally, you could z. B. two crossed Arrange layers of thread comparatively close to one another and several such layer groups to be provided at certain radial distances.
Des weiteren könnte in Frage kommen, dasAnother possibility could be that
Von Bedeutung kann dies z.B. für die Begrenzung der elastischen Verdrehbarkeit sein, denn verdreht man den Schlauch um seine Längsachse, so wird der Verdrehweg radial von innen nach außen größer.ίο measure of curl or what is the same, to keep the Streekweg different sizes in the different layers, for example such that the inner layers' have a smaller stretch than the outer layers Layers. This can be important e.g. for the limitation of the elastic rotatability because if you twist the hose around its longitudinal axis, the twisting path becomes Radially larger from the inside out.
Finally, the tightness of the threads within the layers is important, and differently for the individual types of stress.
Instead of threads, the inlays could also consist of thicker and different, twisted or interwoven elements. But threads have the advantage that they do not stress the rubber unfavorably.
The manufacture of such hoses is possible in various ways. You can z. B. insert the threads in the desired widening in thin sheet-like structures made of unvulcanized rubber and wrap these sheet-like structures around the iron or steel dome or the hose core, in compliance with the desired directions of the threads. If several layers of thread with crossed threads are to be inserted, two such thread surfaces with crossed threads can be wound around the mandrel or core once or several times.
Should also be arranged rubber layers without thread inserts in between be wrapped in between sheets of unvullcainized. Rubber mn. Is the Hose wall constructed in such a way that the whole thing is vulcanized. The * hose exists then from an uninterrupted rubber mass in which the threads are inserted.
Another way of making them. Tubes would be the ones with threads on them Let rubber coated mandrel or core run so that it is in the rubber mass something penetrate or at least be held by it, whereby it is during the Starting up just before the points of emergence or moving the dome or core back and forth. They like too many run parallel next to each other and shortly before the run-off points through a back and forth moving device with holes, eyes, gaps o. The like. Be passed through. if a layer has accumulated, a rubber layer has to be applied over it, in which one lets run the next thread layer, etc.
The device may be such that the thread spools the non-rotating mandrel circulate. But it is also possible to let the mandrel rotate instead of the bobbins.
Instead of inserting threads or other tensile elements made of textiles, it is also possible to use come, with special advantages if necessary, metallic elements more appropriate Art, i.e. the thinnest or thin wires, in certain cases also döjckierie To use wires, wire strands, wire ropes, etc. as deposits within the meaning of the invention.
