Abstract

Braking assembly (1) for bicycles (B) is disclosed, particularly suitable for training of cyclists, constrained to a support structure (2; F) and provided with braking means (3) cooperating with the driving wheel (R) of said bicycle (B) to generate a resisting torque opposing the rotation given by the cyclist to the driving wheel (R) through the pedals (P). The braking means (3) comprise a flexible belt (4) with mainly longitudinal development arranged with perimetral adherence to tyre (C) of the driving wheel (R) for at least a portion of its circumference and wound as a closed loop between at least a couple of revolving rollers (5, 6), one of said rollers being operatively connected to energy dissipation means (7).
