Abstract

A yarn processing machine has a number of rolls (L1 to L4), each driven by its own motor (M1 to M4). The performance of each motor is measured (4,5) and controlled (6) by sensors through a local computer (P1 to P4) to monitor yarn quality. The computers (P1 to P4) are linked with a bus (7) to a central unit (8).
