Verfahren zur Herstellung von Schweißeisen bzw. -stahl Die Erfindung betrifft die Herstellung von Schweißeisen bzw. -stahl nach dem Astonverfahren, nach welchem bekanntlich flüssiger Stahl in ein Schlackenbad eingeführt wird.Process for the production of welding iron or steel. Die Erfindung besteht nun darin, daß beim Eingießen des geschmolzenen Stahles in das Schlackenbad der schmelzflüssige Stahl bzw. das Eisen über die Oberfläche des Schlackenbades verteilt in dieses eingegossen wird, anstatt den Strahl, wie früher üblich, auf eine einzige Stelle zu richten. Verfährt man nämlich in der üblichen Weise, so entsteht in der flüssigen Schlacke eine örtlich heiße Zone, welche die gute Granulierung des Stahles und die erforderliche Reaktion zwischen Stahl und Schlacke stört. Auch erfolgt beim üblichen Verfahren die Berührung zwischen Metall und Schlacke nicht unter Einhaltung der erforderlichen Temperaturunterschiede zwischen Stahl- und Schlackenbad. Verfährt man aber erfindungsgemäß, indem man den heißen Stahl- bzw. Eisenstrahl hin und her und rundherum über das Bad verteilt, so erhält man ein Erzeugnis, das im wesentlichen durch und durch gleichmäßig granuliertes Gefüge aufweist.When performing the Aston Procedure, a significantly larger ball (Luppe) than with the old hand puddling process.
