Abstract

The flat plug (1) includes a contact blade (2) and a fixture and connection zone aligned longitudinally with the contact blade. The flat plug is free-standing and electrically connectable and fixed on a substrate. In the fixture and connection zone (3) of the flat plug, at least two contact zones (5,6) are provided for a solderless insertion connection. The flat plug has lateral extensions (7,8) between the fixture- and connection- zones and the contact-blade on both oppositely facing flat sides. The extensions pass laterally beyond the width of the contact blade (2), and form a shoulder (9) at the upper face facing away from the substrate (4) for mounting an insertion tool and a insertion abutment (10) on the lower face turned towards the substrate (4).
