Abstract

The crank shaft (12) contains a non-rotation symmetrical hollow region (14) extending along its length, into which a seat (6) protruding from the direction changing mechanism fits snugly. The safety device comprises a ring (18) with a pin (19) extending radially inwards, which can be fixed inside borings (17) in the crank shaft and seat. The safety device is fitted to the direction changing mechanism for the drive mechanism for the blinds or curtains, and its purpose is to prevent the crank shaft being pulled out of the universal joint seat. A boring is provided in the crank shaft, extending at right angles to the crank shaft length axis (9), and a boring is also provided in the seat.
