Abstract
In the vicinity of the outlet (5) of the throughflow oven, i.e. approximately at the end of the cooling section (3), treatment gas is sucked out of the oven. The gas sucked out of the oven transfers heat in the direction of the annealing zone. The gas with reduced temperature is fed back to a position in the cooling section (3) spaced apart from the suction point and in the direction of the annealing zone. The feedback of gas is effected with a flow impulse directed in its main orientation in the direction of the oven outlet, so that a gas flow in the cooling section directed towards the oven outlet extends over the workpieces to be cooled.
