Abstract

The invention relates to a device for taking sheet material from a feeding device and delivering the sheet material to a removal station. It is characterized in that it has a rotationally accomodated drum (10), on the outer side of which at least one clamp element (40) is fitted, for holding the relevant front edge of the sheet material that is being fed. The clamp element (40) can be adjusted between a clamp position, close on the surface area of the drum (10), and a release position, raised above the surface area. The clamp element (40) is fitted on a leg (34) of a pivoted angular lever (32), the other leg (42) of which is articulated with a winding stem (48) which is coaxial to the rotational axis (22) of the drum (10). This winding stem (48) is axially adjustable by means of an actuating drive (50) fitted outside the drum.
