Abstract

A refrigerated display case, in particular for perishable foodstuffs, has an approximately horizontal refrigerated plate made of heat-conductive material, a refrigerating element in thermal contact with the refrigerated plate, a hood which covers the refrigerated plate and a fan that circulates the air under the hood. The fan is arranged under the refrigerated plate in an air duct open at opposite edges of the refrigerated plate. The refrigerating element is a Peltier element (8) the cold side of which is fitted with one or several refrigerating bodies (9). The Peltier element (8) is arranged in a wall of the air duct, the refrigerated plate (6) rests on the refrigerating bodies (9) and the fan (15) blows air through or between the refrigerating bodies (9).
