Abstract
The weapon has a recoil compensator with at least one compensation mass (37) which, through the gas pressure activated on firing, is driven relatively to the grip in the opposite direction of that of firing movement. This causes the impulse acting on the grip as the result of the movement of the projectile in the barrel to be reduced and the at least one compensation mass is movable relatively to the barrel. From the gas channel which conducts the gas pressure to the area behind the projectile ready to be fired, a channel leads to the compensation mass.
