Abstract
The method involves generating a signal variation characteristic of a detected change. The frequency spectrum of the time variation of the signal is compared with stored frequency spectra for typical changes. The frequency spectrum is submitted to amplitude normalisation at a time point during a signal record and then compared with stored spectra. The comparison result is prepared for indication or further processing.
