Abstract

A feed water pump (10) supplies feed water via a feed water pipe (9,11) to the at least one drum (4). A circulation system consists of at least one down pipe (5), at least one evaporator heating surface (2) positioned horizontally in a vertical exhaust gas duct (1), and at least one riser pipe (6). The feed water pipe is connected, downstream from the feed water pump, is connected to the down pipe by at least one starter pipe (14) with controls (13). A non-return valve (16) is positioned between the join (15) between the starter pipe and down pipe on one side, and drum on the other side, in the down pipe. In front of the non-return valve in the down direction of flow, the down pipe or drum is connected to at least one drain pipe (17) by controls (18).
