Von dem einen Arm eines um seinen Aufhängepunkt α drehbaren Hebels b hängen, wenn zwei Feuerthüren vorhanden sind, zwei Ketten c vor der Kesselstirnwand herab. Das untere Ende jeder Kette läuft über ein Kettenrad d, welches in einem an der Kesselstirnwand drehbar befestigten Lager e ruht (Fig. 3 und 4) und endigt in einen Ring/. Mit diesem kann die Kette über einen der drei Arme g gehängt werden, welche, den oberen Schenkel von Winkelstücken bildend, auf den oberen Rand der Feuerthür neben einander aufgenietet sind (Fig. ι und 2). Anstatt der Winkelstücke kann ein Gleitstück ο verschiebbar auf einer Stange ρ angeordnet sein, welche auf den oberen Rand der Thür aufgenietet ist.
