Abstract

The plug connector has a number of contact elements accessible from a connector side and a number of conducting rails which connect groups of the contact elements on the other side. The contact elements are socket elements (13-15) arranged in several rows, of which some (13,14) are arranged in a first group of holders (33,34) and some in a second holder (35). The first group of holders are designed for direct connection to a number of multiple pole plugs (61). The second holder is designed to hold a single adapter element (71). The sockets are arranged in three parallel rows in the first group of holders, with each three adjacent sockets connected by a conducting rail.
