Abstract
The circuit monitors the function of at least two fluorescent lamps (LL1,LL2), using a detection network (R1,..R7, C1,D1) connected to the lamp current circuits and coupled to a control circuit (5) for a switch (V3,RE,S1) allowing the lamps to be connected in parallel upon detection of lamp failure. The control circuit has a storage capacitor coupled to the detection network as the input element, its charge corresponding to the voltage across the monitored lamp current circuits, with two alternatively-activated switch stages (VI,R8,..R10,C3 ; V2,D3,D4, R11,...R14, C4), with different response thresholds used to provide the switching signals for the controlled switch.
