Abstract
A representative volume of air in the area or cooling air is extracted and passed to a measuring chamber with at least one detector, an air-flow sensor (2) and a pressure sensor (4) usually, for determining the characteristics of any fire. The sensors also monitor any changes in the air. Any variations of pressure, due to the ambient air, can be measured and compensation made. The equipment includes other units also.
