Abstract

Moulded body of glass fibre reinforced microporous insulating material is provided as spacer between a ceramic cooking panel and a heater comprising a bowl-shaped metal container. The body is pressed into the container so that it rests on a layer of thermally insulating material and presses with its side wall on the inside wall of the container. The outside dia. of the moulded body is the same or smaller than the inside dia. of the container and is pressed in a compressed state or is larger, pref. 0.1-1.0 mm larger, and is pressed into the container in a non-compressed condition.
